Bild reports that Mats Hummels has had a change of heart and is now favouring extending his contract at Borussia Dortmund for another season.  Hummels’ original deal was set to expire in the summer but he has changed his tune and instead of retiring will likely continue for another season after initial speculation that he may retire at the end of the season. Sky Germany reports that despite interest from Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann developed a bad feeling about returning to the club. Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund were pushing to bring Nagelsmann back to the club with the former manager being the main candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season.  However, Karl Heinz-Rummenigge, a member of the supervisory board was critical of bringing Nagelsmann back to the club. Julian Nagelsmann has extended his contract at the DFB and will stay as the Germany head coach until the 2026 World Cup, the DFB confirms.  The former Bayern Munich manager was originally bought into the role on an interim basis in October. The Bundesliga has announced that VfB Stuttgart striker Sehrou Guirassy has won the Bundesliga Player of the Month for March.  Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and David Raum as well as Bayer Leverkusen’s Alejandro Grimaldo were also nominated for the award. Germany and the Bundesliga will likely receive one of two additional Champions League spots next season.  Due to the new format of UEFA club competitions next season, there are an additional two Champions League spots available.
