Potential Critiquing

Hopefully you guys can see this. I apologize if it's difficult to read the locations, but a number of them are subject to change anyway. I have every intention of creating a final, complete map on an even larger piece of poster board (because I enjoy torturing myself). Other than correcting the splitting rivers to the far south-west, and the lonesome central mountain, do you guys see anything else that may need amending? The map is for an epic fantasy world, so naturally, geography doesn't HAVE to be geologically correct. I want the readers of my world to explore the continent without ru ..read more

Question about G.Projector.

Hey there, I have a question about G.Projector that maybe someone here could help with. I recently updated G.Projector to the latest version, but now it won't let me export maps larger than 7500x3750 pixels whereas the version I had before allowed exports up to 20000x10000 pixels. I did find this section in the changelog on the NASA website that probably has something to do with it, specifically the last two points: https://preview.redd.it/uryvx1sx9bvc1.png?width=895&format=png&auto=webp&s=b7039b7f8795193bb72cef843a3bb17a32783999 submitted by /u/5708ski [visit reddit] [commen ..read more

Xiln-Avar: The Forbidden Isle | First Hand-drawn Map in 3 Years

I made this map for a Pathfinder campaign I’m running for two of my closest friends. After suffering a devastating defeat at the hands of a dark priest, the huntress and the thief awoke on a strange island surrounded by a thick wall of fog and separated from where they last remember being by hundreds of miles. What will they find on this spot of land best lost to time? What must they go through to return home and expunge their town of the bloodthirsty cult? submitted by /u/Glass_Seraphim [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How to create (or find) maps with Subdivisions?

I'm trying to combine these two maps of subdivisions of two North Indian states, Punjab and Haryana, but when I match up the scales and try to overlay the maps, I see that the boarders don't actually line up properly and there seems to be a lot of places where they don't overlap. Other maps I've looked into with these two states combined don't have the subdivisions, so I'm wondering how I can make or find a map with the specifics I'm looking for, could I use something like QGIS or OpenStreetMap, do they export to vector files, as I'm working in Adobe Illustrator. Or maybe even exporting d ..read more
