I’m Carly! I started this blog as a creative outlet during my freshman year at Georgetown University back in 2008. I share a little bit of life, a little bit of style, and a little bit of everything in between. Anything that I’d share with my close friends, I share here… whether it’s a trip I just went on, a great sale that can’t be missed, a documentary or book I loved, a personal..

When I was pregnant with my second, I knew I wouldn’t need to buy too many new things. I felt very well prepared equipment-wise and since our kids are 2.5 years apart, my toddler was fully out of the baby stage and, therefore, all of our baby items were totally ready to go for #2. Over the course of my pregnancy, I did make a short list of “upgrades” I wanted to make, mostly out of personal preference and not so much out of necessity.
BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY BABY REGISTRY MUST HAVES.
One of the things that I wanted to get was a new baby carrier. I baby wore a bit with my first and loved it, bu ..read more

Happy Friday! This week went by so quickly I can hardly believe it’s already almost the weekend. Nothing too crazy– just a nice week at home. My favorite!!
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Halter Sundress
Wow wow wow! Calling all brides… or really anyone who wants a stunning white dress this summer! This dress is absolutely gorgeous. Double bows on the back? Obsessed. It also comes in a few colors– loving the mint color as well.
TWO // More-Salad-Than-Tuna-Salad… Salad
I love a great tuna salad– it’s such an easy lunch. We’ve been really into tinned fishes lately too, so this ..read more

I have been on a big shirtdress kick lately! I truly can’t think of a more versatile silhouette. It’s something that works for my body in my postpartum era and is also breastfeeding friendly. I’m all about easy to throw on dresses, and the best part of a shirtdress is that it looks like you’re pulled together but with minimal effort!
Eyelet Shirtdress // Striped Poplin Shirtdress // Blockprint Shirtdress // Multi-hued Shirtdress // Belted Slate Blue Shirtdress // Smocked Waist Shirtdress
Lilac Lace Shirtdress // Chambray Shirtdress // Eyelet Mini Shirtdress // Cane Shirtdress ..read more

Who here remembers my college graduation campaign with Kate Spade? It feels like a lifetime ago, and in a way, it was! I’d still wear that dress today though. I can hardly think of anything more classic to wear than a little white dress, and this time of year, there seems to be endless options for graduation and wedding season. I ended up getting a little carried away with this roundup of cute white dresses…. Make sure to scroll down for a lot more of them….

Had such a good week with the boys– especially this weekend. Getting out with both boys by myself was a major goal of mine and I have to say, I’m so glad I was on top of this fear from the beginning. I’m sitting down now to type this and realizing that I don’t even think twice about getting out and about with both. Mike was out of town for the weekend so the boys and I had ourselves a time! We went out to breakfast, played at the park, went to a train exhibit at a local museum. On Sunday, I took them to the gym with me (Rory’s first time!) so I could get a little workout– and quiet time for my ..read more

I realized I never shared these photos on here and it ended up being the perfect timing to post them, because there’s a relevant story behind them. One of the best parts about being a mom is getting to create all the fun magic for my kids. I love it. But…. I also think it’s gone a little too far. I hate to bring the energy of ~social media ruined it~ however i do think that’s the case here. The bar for “childhood magic” just keeps going higher and higher.
You can’t just take your kids on a vacation, if you want real magic you need to pack a suitcase for them, wake them up and tell th ..read more

One of the highlights of this week was the eclipse!! I felt like because we weren’t in the direct path that it might not be super special, but it blew me away! Mike and I went outside for it and then a couple of our neighbors came over to watch with us and we were all in awe. I think my favorite part was how it felt like a community event… schools here were let out early and there was definitely a bit of a collective buzz around town.
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Pickleball Backgammon
How freaking cute is this pickleball backgammon set? I’m plotting my return to the game ..read more

Is it just me or has J.Crew Factory been killing it recently? They’ve had a ton of super inexpensive winners like this scalloped active skort and so many more I linked below. It inspired me to look through a few of my other go-to affordable clothing brands too, leading to this pretty sizable roundup of affordable fashion under $50. Just in time for a spring and summer wardrobe refresh!
