Hello friends.  It is time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Barbara has chosen the "Topping" option to make a masculine card.    I made this card for my son-in-law who does a great job at fixing things and I thought it was appropriate for him.  I used some SU retired pattern paper and tool dies by Tutti Designs, not sure if they are still available, but there are others out there.  The Gray Granite panel is embossed with SU Paint Texture EF (also retired).  The sentiment from SU Labeled With Love is stamped on a die cut white stitched circle ..read more

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.  This one is for my Granddaughter and her husband who will be celebrating their first anniversary in a week.  I really like the finished card. The black & white stripe paper is from my stash - I glued it to a white card base.  The oval frame is from an older SU set, Framed Florets.  I glued the frame to the panel and after stamping the sentiment (SU Many Mates), I glued the oval back in the frame.  The flower is from a 2016 SU set, Birthday Blooms.  I already had the flower stamped and ..read more

Hello friends.  I have a new card I made for a friend who deserves many thanks.  I used the colors from the Color Hues Challenge - Pink & Aqua, and the theme from The Flower Challenge - Thanks. I also used some new goodies to make my card - SSS Rustic Layering Flower, PTI Cornered: Lace die, and an older Altenew Bold Thanks die.  I die cut the corners from the white panel and added it to a panel of SU Coastal Cabana.  I lightly blended some SU Pretty in Pink ink in the center where I wanted to place the flowers. I die cut two sets of flowers and leaves from whit ..read more

Hello friends.  I have had a busy week or two and haven't been able to post, but I got another Christmas card done and wanted to share it.  I just received this new Build-An-Angel die set from Papertrey Ink and had to use it. I die cut the angel from white and the wings and halo from gold glitter card.  Also added a piece of the gold glitter behind the skirt to show off the detail and added vellum under the die cut wings.  I stamped a piece of blue with SU Falling Snow background stamp in Whisper White ink and die cut it with Scalloped Contours die (retired).  ..read more

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy wants us to use the word "Celebrate" on our cards.     I used The Greetery Balloon Bouquet Stamps & Dies for the pretty balloons and Birthday Blooms Stamp & Dies for the word Celebrate.  The background is embossed with Spellbinders Balloons Banners EF.  I stamped the large balloon in Soft Sea Foam ink and then used the separate stamps and inks to stamp in the pretty flower bouquet.  I have to admit that I had to do several balloons before I got it lined up right but it ..read more

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card to share today.  I love using dies that show the true meaning of Christmas and this one is perfect.  It fits the challenge at Just Us Girls - Word Week - JOY. I used the Joy Nativity die from Cottage Cutz cut from gold foil (gold doesn't photograph well as it has reflections in it).  I also cut two white layers to add for dimension.  I used a piece of lt. blue pattern paper from my stash and die cut it with a scallop rectangle and mounted it to a SU Boho Blue panel embossed with SU Dainty Diamonds EF(ret.).  I ..read more

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini wants us to use a Focal Image for our cards.   What this means is, in your card, for the focal image, use only one stamp and stamp it only once. No more stamping is allowed on the focal image. However, you are free to color it and free to do anything else with the rest of the card. If you're not a toppings kinda person, well...you can just stick with our usual "Anything Goes" Birthday! The choice is yours!   I used Picket Fence Brighter Days Gerbera Daisy for my focal image.  ..read more

Hello friends.  I am slowly getting my Christmas cards done and have two new ones to share.   For Card #1 I combined some old and new stamps/dies.   The old is Taylored Expressions In & Out Christmas stamps for the sentiment.  I stamped it in Real Red ink and fussy cut around it.  The poinsettia is from a retired SU set Poinsettia Petals stamp & dies.  I stamped the poinsettia in Smokey Slate ink and cut with the matching dies.  The leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow on some green from my stash, and then die cut.  I added the die cut gold ..read more

Hello friends.  Time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Vicki has chosen feather(s) as our Topping option this time..    My feathers are digital images I have had for quite some time and they were perfect for this challenge as I don't have any feather stamps.  I printed them on white cardstock and colored them with Crumb Cake Blends, but didn't like the way they looked so colored them with Misty Moonlight Blends and like them better.  I fussy cut them and added a  bow cut from SU Gray Granite with a retired SU flower set.  I die cut a stitc ..read more

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.  I made this card with two challenges in mind - Color Throwdown #815 and The Flower Challenge #96. I used Pinkfresh Studio's Be Fearless Stamps, Dies & Stencils along with PFS inks Mimosa & Mango Sorbet for the flowers and Gina K. Designs Light Spruce for the leaves.  After stamping the images, I used the inks and stencils to color them, and then die cut them with the matching dies.  I die cut two white panels with SU Radiating Stitches dies and blended Bermuda Bay ink around the edge of the larges ..read more
