The Alby Wooler Envirotrail in Yeppoon is an absolute gem. Tucked away on the grounds of Yeppoon State School and backing onto the Rail Trail this really is a hidden oasis. Malcom and Sabrina from the Cap Coast Landcare group led our adventure and guided us on a meandering walk through remnant vegetation including rainforest, pandanus forest, vine thicket, open forest and creekline ecosystems. One of the best things about the Hey There Happiness monthly events is the positive ripple effect. We love to see people coming together to share experiences and to try new things. What we love even more is often these experiences continue to have a positive effect long after the event. Our July felting workshop was led by Anni Simmons who expertly guided us through the process of making a felt brooch, from start to finish. Anni has a genuine love of connecting with others and she encouraged us all to find our own style and gave us the confidence to experiment. We had an intimate and varied g ..read more

Phill Jenkins a local artist and nature enthusiast was our trusty leader for the morning. He l ..read more
