The Championship Darts Corporation have confirmed their plans for U.S. dates on the 2021 Championship Darts Circuit, with two treble-header weekends to be staged this year.
Ongoing restrictions across North America forced the postponement of all events in the first half of the year, and non-essential cross-border travel for the U.S. into Canada is still not permitted, though the CDC remains hopeful that plans to reopen the border will be announced by June 1.

Live crowds will return to PDC events for the first time in 2021 for the conclusion of the Unibet Premier League from May 24-28, with tickets to go on sale next week.
Step 3 of the UK Government's Roadmap out of Lockdown from May 17 onwards is set to allow sporting events in indoor venues of up to 1,000 fans.
This means that the final five nights of the Premier League from May 24-28 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes will be able to welcome a crowd - ending almost six months of behind-closed-doors action.

Dimitri Van den Bergh picked up his maiden Players Championship title with a superb 8-7 defeat of Dirk van Duijvenbode as PDC Super Series 3 came to a close in Niedernhausen on Tuesday.
The World Matchplay champion and two-time World Youth Champion has previously lost out twice in ProTour finals, but scooped the £10,000 top prize in Players Championship 12.
The success came in dramatic fashion, as Van Duijvenbode followed up Monday's maiden senior title with a gutsy display 24 hours later and pushed the Belgian all the way in the final.

Four of the planned 2021 World Series of Darts international events have been rescheduled for 2022, and the PDC can confirm that this year’s Jack’s Casino World Series of Darts Finals will be held in Amsterdam in October.
Five World Series of Darts events were due to take place around the globe in 2021, with June’s double-header of the Bet 365 US Darts Masters and Nordic Darts Masters to be followed in August by the New South Wales Darts Masters, Queensland Darts Masters and New Zealand Darts Masters.

Dirk van Duijvenbode secured his first PDC ranking title after beating Martijn Kleermaker 8-6 in the final of Players Championship 11 in Niedernhausen.
The Dutchman enjoyed a remarkable rise up the PDC rankings in 2020, including reaching his first TV final at the World Grand Prix, and has continued that form into 2021 as he scooped a maiden ProTour title.

Following Barry Hearn OBE's decision to step aside on Tuesday after almost 20 years in the role, son Eddie will take over the most senior role in darts.
