I am going to be in LA next month for a week. I was wondering what are some good places to snorkel? I usually rent a life vest along with snorkelling gear because I don’t trust the ocean. Hey all, not quite sure if this is the best sub for this, but thought I'd start here. My spouse and I love to snorkel, and I have been toying with the idea of taking a week-long trip somewhere in July with easy access to shore snorkeling. (located in US) I've been looking mostly at Belize (I saw it was rainy season here then though?) and Roatan, Honduras since I've seen both locations have a great reef, but am open to many locations where there's easy access to snorkeling. I want to get my 10-year old a snorkeling mask for Half Moon Cay. Nothing too expensive…just something he can use in the water off the beach. I’ve been looking online and reading reviews, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I’ve been looking at the one pieces - with the tube attached to the top of the mask. I really love that he could use a Go Pro camera with it too. But I’ve read several reviews that say the mask feels restrictive and my son will not like that.
