Glamping in the Bay Area: Mendocino Grove

There’s nothing like a good ol’ pandemic to make you appreciate being outside even more. I was starting to get cabin fever and started exploring options for travel while being socially responsible, and going glamping near me in the Bay Area seemed like the best option. Glamping was appealing because it’s something that you can do while social distancing, while enjoying the great outdoors and immersing yourself in nature. My friends and I decided to go to Mendocino Grove due to its proximity to the Bay Area and as a noob camper, I appreciated how easy and simple the entire experience was. The ..read more

Things to Do in Miami, Florida for a Bachelorette Party

Miami, Florida is a great place for a bachelorette party. I went in October where I celebrated my good friend’s engagement and hung out with her crew. It was my first trip out to Miami and my first trip to these types of events. I was thoroughly pleased! This was a picture we took before the first night of festivities: As you can tell, the maid of honor was fully prepared with room decor, confetti, and wall hangings. When you’re planning your bachelorette party, you’re going to want to grab some festive gifts: My friends even purchased some really cute hats, bottles, plates that were ..read more

5 must go to food spots in Oahu, Hawaii
Me Want Travel » United States

I recently went to Oahu, Hawaii for a friend’s 30th birthday and ate some of the best poke I’ve ever had in my life and some dank loco moco. The food scene in Hawaii is similar to what you’d experience with the locals themselves – relaxed and casual, but on point. It is also more affordable than eating in SF, though that may not be saying much. This list was vetted by my friends, who have been coming to Hawaii annually for the last 6 years and have carefully curated a food list that is committed to spots that are not pretentious, have great food, and are commonly frequented by locals.  In t ..read more

What to Do in Mission Viejo, California

I am currently in the Orange County area for a wedding that was located in San Clemente. Though I visit LA a lot to see my close friends, I’m not that familiar with the OC. I didn’t realize San Clemente was so far from Los Angeles that I couldn’t stay with my friend and chill in LA. So instead, I ended up staying around Mission Viejo at an AirBnB nearby.   What to Do in Mission Viejo Transportation and Accommodations I currently live in the Bay Area, but I found it a bit more difficult to book a flight to Santa Ana vs. LA last minute. Therefore I decided to take an overnight bus via Meg ..read more

I recently went to New Orleans for a bachelorette party and it was an experience quite unlike anything else. The locals were incredibly welcoming (one Uber driver even started giving us real marriage advice and drove an extra block so he could share some more), the food was savory and rich, and the drinks were never ending because this is New Orleans. We had a good mix of activities during the day and enjoying NOLA’s nightlife scene. Here is my itinerary for our 4 days in NOLA: How to Spend 4 Days in New Orleans (NOLA) Day 1 We landed in NOLA at 5am from our redeye in San Francisco. Once we l ..read more

Art of Crabbing Review

Crabbing is something that people do, but to be honest, I never thought I would be one of them. That all changed when Sharon asked me if I wanted to go crabbing because it was something she wanted to cross off her bucket list (and it was on mine too!). I’m down to try anything once and so with a quick Google search, we found the Art of Crabbing on Airbnb hosted by Alex. It was the first time either of us tried an Experience on Airbnb and so we didn’t really know what to expect…but it was so much fun! We drove down to Pacifica and met on the pier at the Chit Chat Cafe. On the pier, we learned ..read more

Dating in any city can be tough and having dated for roughly the past 15 years, I will be the first to acknowledge that. One of the things that’s great about SF is that there is constantly a steady stream of events, leaving you with plenty of options. It’s more like finding the right person that’s the hard part. In any case, sometimes those creative juices can get stuck so I created a list to help you out! Here are some date ideas for when you want to take out that special someone. 5 Date Adventure Ideas for SF 1. 5 Awesome Places to Drink Beer in SF

I live in SF and I like beer. By no means does that make me an expert, but after having gone bar hopping for the past 6 years (which my Dad still finds hard to believe) and spending way too much dough on booze, I’ve curated a list of bars that are my faves. Whether it’s just to kick one back with your homies or to try new flavors, this list has got something for you. 5 Awesome Places to Drink Beer in SF 1. Biergarten (Hayes Valley, SF) – Perfect for sunny summer days (be sure to still bring a jacket though, for no other reason than this is SF) and with a group of friends, Biergarten always de ..read more

How to Spend an Overnight Layover in Denver, Colorado
Me Want Travel » United States

In September I traveled around the US for about 2 weeks. I initially purchased a flight to visit my friend in Austin, Texas but found that the flight included a one night layover in Denver. In the end I thought it would actually be kind of cool to spend a night in a new state (I had never visited Colorado before). I had no idea what to expect as the only thing I knew about Colorado was that it was one of the first states to legalize recreational marijuana… I got into Denver quite late, unfortunately, arriving to the AirBnB around 5-6 PM. My flight was also early the next day, so I only had may ..read more
