A few weeks ago I had photographed the very handsome and gentle Boston. We had a lovely time exploring different tracks and playing catch. He was the perfect gentleman - always listened to his Mum and was the impressive master of "sit and stay" Very sadly at the time of the portrait sitting Boston had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and he passed away a few days ago. I got to tag along with the awesome James from Kuri Companion again this week - this time a stroll in the sunshine around Wellington Waterfront. It always amazes me how calm and chilled out the dogs are. No jumping up, no barking, no pulling on leads - just enjoying the warm sun, smells and sights around the bay. I was so delighted to get photograph Cait Sith from Neko Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe last week.  Whilst the cafe is not quite open yet ( very soon! https://nekongeru.nz/), Cait Sith likes to practise her catwalk so she can teach all the kitties looking for homes how to look magnificent and how to charm all the humans that come to visit. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge cat lover. I LOVE CATS. Cats, like dogs, all have such different personalities. So some of you may have noticed that I've been a bit quiet so far this September. That's because I have been topping up my vitamin D levels in the beautiful islands of Hawaii for a couple of weeks. Whilst I was strictly there to explore and relax ( enforced by a husband's sigh and eye rolling every time I went near my camera) I couldn't help take a few images of these gorgeous four pups I met on the beach in Keawakapu Beach in Maui. I get to photograph a lot of cute pups in my work and gorgeous cavoodle Murphy was no exception! He is a ball of energy but already so good at lots of the basic commands.
