Today we are looking at a watch from a brand I wanted to check out for some time and finally I got a sample in for review. I’m going to skip the history lesson as it has been talked about on many articles and also can be found on Yema official website. But Yema watch brand is undeniably a historically significant watch brand from France that started in 1948. It was eventually acquired by Seiko in 1988 and then made it’s way back to France in 2004, before being finally acquired by the Morteau-based Montres Ambre watch brand. We’ll be taking a look at one of their l ..read more

And one thing that may dissapoint some is that I won’t review so many watches as I did, there will be maybe 20-30 watch reviews a year (quality, not quantity), that is due to my main work and other stuff that is happening in my life. But here is the first review of many to come! Today we are looking at a cool new microbrand Etien, and their first watch is a rather interesting take on a dial finishing technique previously seen on high en ..read more

I have reviewed two of their watches in the past, the Heritage 40 and the regular Heritage Chronograph. I was very impressed by those watches and I was waiting for them to release something new and they delivered! It wasn’t what I was expecting as I was waiting for an automatic/mechanical watch, but they surely delivered something really cool. Today we are gonna take a look at Corniche Heritage “L’Éte Sans Fin” Chronograph. Which means Endless summer in French. When I first saw the watches, I thought “damn those are some very sexy colours” haha. Usually microbrands aren’t so brave to use brigh ..read more

Some time ago I reviewed a watch from a new Chinese company called Boderry. That watch was so good for the price with 72h power reserve, sapphire crystal, titanium case and all that for 199$ which is nothing. But today I’m pleased to announce the Boderry Elite Micro-Rotor watch and Boderry claims it is the cheapest Micro-Rotor in the world! Right now the watch is on Indiegogo and you can get it as cheap as 199$. The micro-rotor comes in 3 dial colours (black, green, white) and 3 different case colours (stainless steel, yellow gold and black pvd). I chose the classic looking black dial with sta ..read more

As you know I have reviewed this brand already a couple of times and you probably know that this brand is one of my favourite microbrands. Each watch I review from this company is surprising me more and more. So I won’t talk about the company as I have written many review articles where you can read more about the company. I have reviewed many pieces from them and actually there was one that many of you my readers requested me on Instagram and here to review and that model is Venture. It is a small 38mm field watch and the case is made of Titanium. They have many variations with different dial ..read more

Today we are gonna talk about a very interesting watch with some vintage inspired design from a company called BUUR+. The company is based in Denmark and was founded by Thomas Buur Bækgaard. The company is relatively new and I found them on Instagram and liked their vintage inspired watch approach. Reading more about them and checking out teh website I discovered that the main inspiration were all the old vintage watches and their rising value that inspired Thomas to make a brand of his own with affordable vintage inspired watches for much cheaper, but this is the line we hear a lot in the mic ..read more

Today in for a review we have a watch from a brand new company! The man behind the brand is Jason Chan, the head designer and founder of Loresum is particularly experienced in all aspects of watch design. He specializes in the watchmaking process along with the development and design of unique time-telling systems. In December 2017, Chan’s very first brand JW Watch made its debut. Through his efforts the company grew, firmly establishing its place in the watchmaking industry. His iconic models JW-01 and JW-02 are still out of stock to this day which is quite sad because that watch wa ..read more
