Let me start by saying that every fall I have a stack of sessions that I plan to blog, and every fall that stack gets bigger and bigger! I am truly so grateful for this. With that said, time slips on by, and before I know it I realize I have sessions from years ago that I still want to blog. Today’s blog…perfect example! It’s my sister, Lindsey, and her family from fall of 2020. My niece and nephew were 11 and 13 at the time. Because of the time lapse, I’ve included an updated photo of the two of them from this year, now BOTH teenagers! Grace is 13 and Noah is 15, and oh how they have changed ..read more

Happy New Year! I had a wonderful Christmas with my immediate family, and then traveled to Missouri for the New Year. I hope your holidays were great too! This week on the blog, We have photos of Lauren and her two pups, Deacon and Charlie. We did this photo session at my home in College Grove. First, we have Deacon. He is a six-year-old standard goldendoodle and named after a character on the show Nashville. Deacon loves other dogs, and he loves the water! “He really is such a big goof,” Lauren describes. And he doesn’t like any type of boots, which Lauren finds hilarious. Deacon listens well ..read more

This week on the blog is a family I photographed last fall. I had the opportunity to do the photos at their beautiful home and land in the White Bluff area. This place was a photographer’s dream, as there were just so many magical places to use as the backdrop for their family photos. The beauty captured almost seems unreal, but I promise, no fake backdrops here! I have split this family post into two parts because there are just so many photos I loved from the session. I’m excited to be photographing them again this week! This is the Whipp family: Amy, Jake and Landon (who is six years old he ..read more

This week on the blog, meet the Komnick Family: Malika, Robby, Mia and Rambo. Their photo session was done at Ellington Agricultural Center. (There is still one more spot for a mini left at this location! Please click on this booking link to reserve it). Mia and Rambo are the cute dogs you see in the photos below. Mia is five and was named by her foster mom, so Malika and Robby kept it. As for Rambo (age three), Robby liked the name for him. These two sweet pups are both very loving, but the couple agrees that Mia loves Robby the most. While Rambo loves to get treats, Mia is not treat motivate ..read more

This week on the blog, we have the Carpenter Family, including Laura and Jeremy with their sweet pup, Riley. We did this session at one of my favorite spots, Marcella Vivrette Smith Park. With this blog, we celebrate life for two different reasons: Laura and Jeremy were expecting their sweet boy Heath Thomas, who is 10 months old now! But also, in the time that has passed since we took those photos, Riley has passed away. We celebrate the long life she had with her people! In these photos, she was 17. To get to know this cute dog a little more… Riley also went by the name of “Riley-Roo”, and s ..read more

This week on the blog, I am honoring two sweet pups in a celebration of life, sadly they both passed away last year. I share with you some of my favorite pics of a fall mini session I did with Courtney and her two dogs at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park . Macy, aka Mace Dawg, was a 14 year old Yorkie at the time of the session. She got the name when Courtney was in college. Courtney loves that Macy had such a big personality and that she never left her side. Bella was an 11 year old Collie/Spaniel/Setter mix that was abandoned close to Courtney’s parents' home in Alabama. She brought this cu ..read more

On the blog this week are Sevda and Atlas, from our session this spring at Ellington Agriculture Center -one of my all time favorite locations! Atlas is a two year old mix of German shepherd, Labrador, and great Pyrenees. Though he may look like a German shepherd at first glance, his personality is more like a Lab. He is a love bug and a social butterfly. Before his adoption Sevda was told that this dog would be a large breed. Because of this she chose the name Atlas, as this was the name of a famous titan in Greek mythology known to be enormous. Atlas loves to ride in the front seat of the ca ..read more

It is truly something great when I get to continue photographing the same faces over the years. This familiar pet and her person, Maranda and Reba, have been on my blog since 2015. Though I have quite a few blog entries of this duo, check out their most recent one here. You might remember Reba because she is named after the country singing legend Reba McEntire, and because she is part dog and part kangaroo. Maranda and her sweet pup met me at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park in November last year. They match with the scenery around them so well! Also, I love how Maranda always has Reba adorned wit ..read more

On the blog this week, I have the pleasure of sharing not just one session with the Renfro Family, but four! I am so grateful for families that come back to do their photos with me year after year (and sometimes more than once a year). Thank you! The photos below include their mini session from October 2019, their November 2020 mini when they moved into their new house, their October 2021 mini (without pups) at the tree farm, and another October 2021 mini session to include the pups at my house in College Grove. The kids' grandparents and their cute dog (Ella) were able to join in the last min ..read more
