That’s not what you want to see
Just 48 hours before Early Signing Day, the Miami Hurricanes got some unwanted news when Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin 4-star S Hylton Stubbs flipped his commitment to the rival Florida Gators.

It’s Monday. Yes......I’ve got nothing. Whatever.
Let’s get to it.
1) I’m not sure I can remember a more disappointing collapse in a recent sporting event.
Up 21-0 (in part because of a penalty that negated a Syracuse touchdown, but still), it seemed like the Miami Hurricanes were on their way to Charlotte. And then, the second quarter reared its ugly head again. In a quarter where the Canes can do seemingly nothing right, they were outscored 14-0 behind a pass defense that has become, in my opinion, the worst among all ranked teams. Probably worse than m ..read more

The Orange defended the Dome and came away with a huge upset win over then no.6 Miami on Thanksgiving weekend. The ‘Canes now enter wait and see mode on the College Football Playoff.
On Saturday, the Miami Hurricanes squandered a 21-point lead to lose their spot in the ACC Championship Game. The Syracuse Orange defeated the Miami Hurricanes 42-38 in an upset over the then no.6 team in the country.

A post-mortem on a huge choke job.
This is not going to be a “normal” three stars article from me after a historic loss by my favorite team. No tweets or videos, just my thoughts regarding one of the biggest choke jobs I have watched in years.
I will give one star today, and it goes to Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward. He played his ass off yesterday. He deserved better from his offensive and defensive teammates. He has been the shining light of the Canes this entire season. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching and rooting for him since I got to see him live in ..read more

Miami blew it.
All that good work, down the drain.
Miami bottled it. Folded. Capitulated. Whatever you want to call it. and lost to Syracuse 42-38 to be eliminated from the ACC Championship game.
Mike Schiffman has the 3 stars from today’s game.
(will post when finished)
And now, let’s dive into The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
The Good
QB Cam Ward. A pedestrian performance for the standout signal caller: 25-36 passing (69% completions) for 349 yards with 2 TDs, along with 5 carries for 19 yards.
Updating the Cam Ward season stats: 293 for 435 passing (67.4% completio ..read more

The regular season comes down to this
Welcome to another Miami Hurricanes game day everyone! The final one of the regular season!
The stakes for the regular season finale against the Syracuse Orange are clear. With a win, Miami secures their spot in the ACC Championship game next weekend against SMU and a likely spot in the College Football Playoff. There’s an opposite side to that with a loss, but we’re not focusing on negatives.

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.
And we’re back for some Week 14 picks. Last week was one of the roughest weeks of the season with a 3-7 mark. That drops my season mark right back to the Mendoza Line at 64-64-2. Time to get that back up into the black.
As usual, all lines are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
And now, on with this week’s picks.
Miami at SYRACUSE +10.5
This line really should be in the 4-5 point range. I don’t trust Miami to go to the (formerly known as) Carrier Dome and put a beating on the Cuse. Kyle McCord is pe ..read more

The regular season comes down to this.
Week 14 is on deck in the world of College Football, and Mario Cristobal’s Canes look to seal their bid to the ACC Championship Game and College Football Playoff.
Fresh off a 42-14 win over Wake Forest, your Miami Hurricanes are back on the road for the regular season finale this Saturday. And in that finale, the Canes head to Northern New York State to take on a conference rival from the old Big East days who are looking for a signature win to close the season: the Syracuse Orange.

Syracuse hosts Miami on Thanksgiving weekend in what could be the Super Bowl for the Orange. Miami is a double-digit favorite on the road.
The Miami Hurricanes (10-1) head to Syracuse, NY to take on the Syracuse Orange (8-3) on Saturday, November 30th at 3:30 on ESPN.
Miami currently has a six game win streak over Syracuse dating back to 1999. Miami was slaughtered by ‘Cuse in the Orange’s last win over the Hurricanes, on Thanksgiving weekend, with Donovan McNabb at QB in ‘98.
