Question about price targets

In my finance news feed I see a lot of target price releases. So-and-so sets price target for this-and-that to xyz. I wouldn't believe that this includes the upcoming recession and stock market crash. Does setting a target price implicitly means "without the recession and crash" or "all else remaining equal"? When we include the upcoming recession/crash there should be almost no company left with increasing price targets, yet I read every day that this-and-that gets a new, higher price target. Is it useless to have strict trading rules based on experience and not use intuition?

I have been trading a simple channel strategy for a while now. As I assess my trades, I see patterns and make new rules. I see my strategy has promise and works in theory but I feel like maybe my strict rules are getting in the way of being in tune with intuition at all. Is intuition actually the most important part of all of this? Was I misled to focus so much on trying to perfect the rules of my strategy? Does strategy even matter at all beyond controlling risk? submitted by /u/honestnightlight [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Failure swings

Hi all After a bit of feedback on failure swings around importantance highs/lows Say in a uptrend on the daily/weekly you get a failure swing and price falls short of the previous high and rejects it, my understanding is generally that means you would then see a lower low is that the case? I know there’s variables but in principle that’s what I’ve been told but interested in peoples views on this? Thank you submitted by /u/RayZone555 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

No positions in any stocks long-term but Amazon/Mag7/general broad market indices. (unless otherwise noted in these tickers) To clarify since I've been asked: I usually make these watchlists premarket, (or from 6:30 to 7 as time permits), but can be delayed if I'm trading the open. These aren't mean to be taken as gospel: they're just my perspective of where a stock could potentially go. Percentages signify what the stock is trading at when I write up the report and are NOT predictions of stock price EOD. Some of the stocks I post are <$500M market cap and are NOT good long-term invest ..read more

Hello, I'm considering trading US30 and would appreciate hearing some opinions on it. Could anyone share insights into what it is and whether it's volatile? Also, does it typically experience large pip movements on a daily or weekly basis? I've heard that it is very viotile and its always on a bull trend in context of long term. I have a lot of experience with all currency pairs & Gold US/OZ XAU/USD already. Any advice would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Embarrassed-You9671 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
