I'm new to responding alchemy and I'm going from a more physical practice standpoint. As the last step in making most elixirs the salt from the Calcification is added to the elixir. Did this actually serve a purpose or was it only for spiritual reasons. It done some research and it may effect the acidity depending on how much of the "salt" is potassium hydroxide.
