Hi everyone! I am attempting to schedule my exam date for July 7th but the 3 closest testing centers look like they don't have any availability in July. Is it just too soon for them to have open availability or should I look at picking a different date to take the exam? I am getting married on 2 weeks and going on a week long honeymoon so I don't want to start studying until after the honeymoon, giving me about 8 weeks for solid studying. Any thoughts?

I’m confused.
I went undergrad and graduated with the help of financial aid and to be honest, my college’s office would do everything for me, I just have do fill things up online with the right information and they would help me and guide me thru.
Now in testing to get a master and there is Grad Plus Loans but when I was taking summer classes i had to pay them out of my pocket.
I ended up withdrawing because I couldn’t deal with the finances and pressures and my college was so lame and never guided me or supported me.
SO, my question: Will I be able to attend grad school in the USA with the h ..read more

I’m currently looking to relocate to Arlington VA and I’m looking for a full time job as an OT. I have experience in SNF with 2 travel contracts and I have fieldwork experience in inpatient rehab and outpatient pediatrics. I’m currently interviewing for jobs in/around Arlington Virginia and I was hoping for opinions on pay rate with my level of experience as I know I am new to the field. I recently had an interview for outpatient and asked for 46-51$/hr but was told that is a high rate. However in speaking with my other therapy friends, I don’t want to be lowballed. What do other therapists g ..read more

Hi! I am about to graduate and recently got an opportunity to interview for a job at an adult day center where I had my first Level II experience. This setting and population is my dream job and there are 0 other jobs in this setting in my state or any adjacent states. Because of this, I feel like I need to jump on it and take it because opportunities are so rare, but I am a little concerned because I would be the only OT working there and my school still plans on sending FW students there so I would be their CI by default. I am so passionate about this population and want to take it but don ..read more

I’m curious if anyone here works at an ABA center that also offers OT? I’ve used to doing EI homecare. Started at a new center based 2x/week and realizing the goals seem like they’re mainly ABA and I’m struggling to understand why it feels odd. It almost feels like they’re just tacking OT on for more $$. Thoughts?

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. I had a question regarding which program route to go into. If this type of question isn’t allowed, sorry! Mods feel free to delete if necessary.
I have my bachelors in sociology and am currently a paraeducator at a school. I’ve had about 2 years experience with a 1:1 setting with students and I think I’m really good at that. I was originally planning on getting my MSW and then become a LCSW but I really enjoy the play therapy aspect of 1:1 settings with students, or also maybe elderly people. I’m not too keen on paperwork and creating t ..read more
