Arsenal battled to a tumultuous 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night to keep the tie alive. It looked like the Gunners may take a lead into the second leg when Bukayo Saka’s early goal went in. But a calamitous 20 minute spell saw Bayern go ahead. Arsenal nullified Bayern’s second half threat and equalised through Leandro Trossard. A late penalty for Saka probably should’ve been given, but as it stands it’s all square. For those of you who still prefer a good read, I’ve summarised the video in written content below. Below, a graphic of how Arsenal planned to / did line-up for much of 2023. Arsenal lent heavily on the inversion of Zinchenko and that meant Gabriel playing as LCB, White sitting a bit deeper and a box midfield forming. As Rice adjusted to a new team a position, the early stages of this season saw ..read more

Arsenal made it to the last eight of the Champions League for the first time in 14 years after winning a penalty shootout on Tuesday night. The Gunners were nervy and not at their best throughout, but a brilliant piece of artistry from Martin Odegaard was finished by Leandro Trossard to level the tie. The second half saw very few chances, as Arsenal had a goal ruled out for a slight pull. Extra time was equally as dull, but in the shootout Arsenal showed their quality. David Raya stepping up and saving two penalties whilst the Gunners netted all of them. Rate the players Here’s how I rate ..read more
