How old are you S1000XR riders? I am 71 and bought my XR last fall. I figure I may be at the top of the age range. I am guessing this will be my last new motorcycle. I like everything about the XR except being stuck in traffic at 35 mph. The engine makes an odd sound at that pace. I find the seat even passable, though as the miles pile up I may change my mind about that ..read more

From an email received today:
BestRest Products (home of the CyclePump Tire Inflator) has a new owner. Jim Delzer purchased the business in March, and he’ll be running it with his wife Kristin and sons, Ryan and Tyler, from their home in Sanger, Texas.
Twenty four years ago David Petersen invented a folding backrest for his BMW R1100GS, so that wife Judy would be more comfortable on their travels. Because it was the “best backrest” on the market, he named the company BestRest Products...

Was bleeding my rear brake yesterday and noticed the rubber piece inside the reservoir has a good size hole on it. I checked everywhere on the net but could not find a replacement for it. Anyone knows a store who might have them? If it comes with the reservoir I'll take that too, otherwise I'll risk buying another used one. Thank you ..read more

I have a 1974 Bmw r90/6. I am trying to find out what tire pressure sticker it had originally, right now it has none. The guy at Heritage stickers is not exactly sure which one it was. I believe it is either a black and white sticker or a blue and white. Also I have seen them in pictures on the seat pan and the rear fender, but not sure which is correct either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm going to share this observation. Some may find it obvious, but I've been riding Airheads for 26 years and just put this together. Dropping fuel efficiency. I noticed on both of my bikes (a '74 and '84) that over the last month or more my MPG was dropping. Not dramatic, but down about 3 mpg. I checked maintenance records and saw that carb floats were OLD. Ordered replacements. R100, went back up to 42.8 mpg (over 250 miles), and the 60/6 went to 51.5 from 48. You don't have to wait for...
