There have been some super enhancements to the Lodgix system since our last mid-August update: 1) Automated payment processing is now live (optional) for all accounts.  We’ve further expanded the functionality by also automating the processing of pre-authorization / pre-authorization holds. 2) Phase 1 of the Unified Inbox has launched for all subscribers.  This functionality replaces our previous inquiries functionality and supports all pre-booking inquiries, including those from Airbnb / VRBO and your website. 3) Phase 2 of the Unified Inbox is under active development.  This ..read more

Slowly all staff are returning from their respective vacations and holidays.  We are all looking forward to getting back to full speed here in a couple of weeks! Unified Inbox and More! Our planned Unified Inbox will replace our current inquiry system.  While we are enhancing guest communication to allow ALL guest and team member communications to flow through one interface! New Triggers Interface Fully Launched As noted in our post from February, the new triggers interface is live!  We will continue to improve some of the styling and data display, as well as fix any reported bugs. The triggers interface on Lodgix is old, like maybe 10 years old.   It is one of the oldest interfaces on Lodgix and is long overdue for a complete recode.  After spending many weeks discussing and reviewing various formats and designs, we settled on a new interface that will also bring with it, many new options. Over the summer, we had an intern whose job was to publish a simple app for a Lodgix subscriber to quickly create reservations and blocks from a mobile device. He did a great job and the only remaining task is to code an integration with Stripe and Authorize.net to allow the secure entering of guest credit card data for new guest reservations. Collecting reviews for guest stays booked manually or from your website is coming! Not sure why I let four months pass since my last post?  Many of our recent updates have been sort of boring, but essential framework conversion.   Every report, and indeed every invoice on Lodgix is being converted to Vue.js, and that takes time and quite a bit of effort.   The end result however is a HUGE improvement on mobile.   Every interface that relaunches immediately becomes so much more visible and navigable on a mobile phone.  It also allows us to get into some of the oldest code and update / refactor it, resulting in faster interfaces during ..read more
