We are thrilled to announce the launch of The Lily Project's virtual health program. The first of its kind in Nicaragua, it creates access to essential women's health information and care. A perfect complement to Lily's in-person mobile clinic.
This summer The Lily Project initiated a pilot program integrating digital health education with telehealth services to prevent disease and promote emotional and mental wellbeing for women in Nicaragua. Congratulations to Dr. Kammi Schmeer and The Lily Project for receiving The 2020 Emerging International Engagement Award from The Ohio State University. The 2020 Emerging International Engagement Award recognizes the efforts of “The Lily Project Collaboration: Working with Women for Women in the Fight Against Cervical Cancer” – a community-based women's health NGO in Nicaragua operating mobile health clinics in rural villages delivering cervical cancer screening, treatment, diagnosis and sexual health education.
