I Think Everyone Involved With Lenire's Creation and Promotion Should Be in Prison

It's the same thing as mega church preachers that slap people on the head and proclaim their cancer is cured. Except this thing costs $4000. This is incredibly screwed up and should have never been approved. The reason it was is because there is a group of good for nothing researchers like the European School for Interdisciplinary Tinnitus Research (ESIT) that are self-appointed experts that don't have a clue but have connections to the regulatory agencies and can inject their BULLSHIT into the industry. I think the people the are involved in snake oil habituation crap are all fakers with no ..read more

Lenire - Day 26

Decent day. My 1-4 level on Sunday and Monday were a gift. Today, maybe a 6. Still fighting the URI that everyone in town has, apparently. 2-3 WEEKS for some. I am near 2 weeks myself and is fading REAL slow. Anyway, busy fun day again. Took my sweet wife to an early supper at her favorite eatery and it was terrific. Didn’t wear my hearing aids, didn’t ask for the table farthest from the bar or kitchen…just sat and had a great time. Guy at the next table had a LOUD speakerphone conversation, so we did the bit from “Date Night” and made up both sides of the conversation. This is NOT how it has ..read more

It was all because of...earwax?!

Over the past couple years, I had developed a range of tinnitus-adjacent issues, from pulsatile tinnitus, to a weird issue where it sounded like an electric circuit was turning on/off in my right ear, to eventually developing a low to mid level ringing in my ears. I was resigned to my fate for the most part and did my best to ignore it. It was mild enough to where I didn't have any impact on my quality of life, but if I was ever silent in a quiet room, I would notice it right away. Fast forward to two weeks ago. I went swimming and got some water in my ear...no biggy, right? Later that evenin ..read more

Should I try wearing a neck brace?

Or could that make it worse? There's definetly something wrong with the entire area of my neck, shoulders, arms, upper and lower back. Maybe my jaw as well. I can feel nerves being stuck(?) and I'm generally in pain always and I experience dizziness sometimes, deeply hoping latter is just my anxiety about the entire situation. My head also hurts a lot. All of these have definetly gotten worse since T started about two weeks ago. Been to ENT yesterday and he also said it's likely coming from my spine and he mentioned something about ear pressure equalization(? Sorry English isn't my first lang ..read more

I've had tinnitus since childhood

I don’t know why I feel compelled to write this. I don’t really struggle with tinnitus the way many of you do so I’m not sure this post will be very useful or appropriate. I’m one of those people who has always had tinnitus. I had ear infections at the age of 3 treated with antibiotics so that could be a likely cause. As a kid I asked my parents what was that ringing noise you can hear when everything’s quiet and they explained to me that it was tinnitus. I have never experience life without it so to me is completely normal. I guess my brain learned to filter it out because it doesn’t bother ..read more

Hi all. Suffering with mild hearing loss and T after loud noise accident 1.5 years ago. I am a music producer and musician so this has been extra difficult for me. I’ve been feeling very desperate and scared to do what I love. I have been wearing professional hearing protection every day while I perform. But, I have been very nervous about recording due to the silence. I have been forcing myself to sit down at the studio and work at very low volumes over short periods of time. Last night I tried an experiment. I found a synthesizer sound that was very similar to the sound of my T. I know wher ..read more

High frequency hearing loss test results

Do you know how much hearing loss in the higher frequencies is associated with tinnitus if its noise induced? I got a test done that went up to 16k. My hearing from 0 to 8k was normal between 0-15 db, then from 9k it was a straight line from 5 db to 16k at 50 db which is considered moderate hearing loss. I'm 35. I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten these extended test back and how bad your higher frequency hearing, and if you have high pitched tinnitus like I do. I'm having a hard time of figuring out how much of this high frequency hearing loss is due to aging, or maybe loud noise exposur ..read more

Tinnitus - Seasonal? Allergies? Barometric Pressure? NorthEast USA

So here's what I've encountered so far and could be a theory or maybe not. I guess I will find out towards the end of Spring. I went down the ENT & Audiologist route and all checked out fine. ENT says its not allergy related and its just Tinnitus - we will see. I also tried Zyrtec for 5 days but then stopped - I'm not sure if that helped lower the noise - I may need to try that for 30 days and see if its some type of allergic reaction, but who knows. A few things I noticed: - Rainy days = much louder - Weather changes / 65 to 30 degree Fahrenheit = much louder - If my sinuses flare or fee ..read more
