DJ’s vs Bands!
When it comes to your wedding planning, there’s a lot to think about and having been to 100’s of weddings over the years, I’m often asked for my help or, opinion.
One debate, I get pulled into, is how to choose between a wedding band or DJ for your dancefloor and so, I’m pulling in the big guns for this one – my friends at Alive Network.
They’re the biggest and best-loved, live entertainment booking agency in the UK, providing both DJs and bands for weddings and events for over 20 years, so they know their a ..read more

Hello Rob,
Will you swing by our wedding venue before the big day?
— Thanks Will you swing by our wedding venue before the big day?
A question that pops up every now and then.
I bet it's not always top-of-mind for brides and grooms, but something they read in those '100 Questions to Ask Your Photographer' features on wedding blogs and magazines.
When I started out, I thought checking out venues before the wedding day was top-notch—stellar customer service.
But reality check: for me at least, visiting a venue beforehand doesn't sway how I end up capturing a wedding. I might scope it out on ..read more

Jake & Rob’s wedding at The Manor Barn, Harlton
Hello you stunning individual.
Pictures are beyond FANTASTIC. Really happy with all of them ❤️ ... over the moon?
— Jake & Rob
Jake & Rob’s wedding at The Manor Barn was always going to be a treat.
Jake had told me that Rob, and a good number of his friends, work in the world of musical theatre and that the wedding would have a big band theme.
The first taste of the musicality began the minute the new Mr and Mr stepped foot back down the aisle, as a random assortment of guests began to sing to the happy couple. A surprise that Rob ..read more

Isabel & Arthurs’ wedding at Jesus College, Cambridge
Isabel and Arthur, a couple who met and then married at their Cambridge college.
Aside from the grass being a little dry, from a recent heatwave, Isabel and Arthur’s day at Jesus College was everything they’d hoped for.
When they first got in touch, they told me that they wanted a very relaxed approach to their photos and nothing too staged - right up my street then!
And here’s what they had to report back …
Rob did a fantastic job in capturing special moments during our day whilst being a 'fly on the wall' … We absolutely LOVE our pho ..read more

Daz & Lex’s Barn Drift Wedding in North Norfolk
This is how it began ….
Hey Rob! I'll be getting married to Alexis next year in Barn Drift (nr Cley). You probs won't be free because we seem to have left everything to the last minute (not that a year out is last minute) but I look forward to hearing that you're busy.
Thanks, Darran
Darran wasn’t far off - while I’d had enquiries for their venue, in the past, I’d always been booked up. However, Darran's email finally brought a free date my way.
What made it even more special was that Darran (Daz) and Alexis’ (Lex) are an incredibly lovely ..read more

Sam & Jess’ wedding in the heart of Norwich
OMG! We’re so happy Rob. Thank you so much! So much better than we ever imagined! X
— Sam & Jess
My first time at the Flint Room and it did not disappoint. The whole vibe was fun, intimate and had a boho feel to it that I absolutely loved.
The light in the Flint Room was amazing too. It really made the photos pop, especially as Sam and Jess walked back down the aisle, surrounded by their friends and family as they were showered with confetti.
I love to focus on the little moments and this wedding was great for getting loads of candid shots ..read more

Voewood, North Norfolk
Rob! Ah man these are incredible, we’ve both been in tears re-living the day, no doubt we’ll be watching that a fair few more times!! Thank you for doing such a great job.
— Jess & Henry
When one of my favourite wedding planners, Emily Andrews, got in touch about this celebration I couldn't resist saying "yes!" A couple celebrating their wedding and christening their baby boy too!
The church ceremony and baptism were lovely to be a part of and afterward, the family celebrated at, the ever wonderful, Voewood.
Voewood looked glorious in the autumnal colour palette t ..read more
