Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images For the 16th straight year, we’re bringing you who we believe will be the ten most important Chicago Bears for the upcoming season. Of all the young and returning Chicago Bears on the roster, I may be most excited to see how Darnell Wright develops. The former first-round draft pick has Pro Bowl upside, and that flashed during his rookie season. He made several 2023 All-Rookie teams, and the sophomore jump for many NFL players is often significant. He will be learning a new offense, but since offensive coordinator Shane Waldron’s playbook comes from the sam ..read more

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports Greg Gabriel had to get some stuff of his chest... Next week, the Chicago Bears will finally begin training camp for the 2024 NFL season. The rookies report next Tuesday, July 16th, and the veterans report three days later, on the 19th. The rookies will be doing mainly orientation work with some classroom and probably light outside work to get them caught up on the offensive and defensive schemes. With the vets reporting on Friday, the first real practice is on Saturday, July 20. With all this happening very quickly, I have some thoughts as to what may happen in th ..read more

Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images Give me your best starting five for an all-Bears basketball team. I put way too much thought and research into our question of the day, but I had to get this right. I could have just gone with a quarterback to man the point, picked a couple of speedy, athletic players for the two and three, and went with the biggest players for center and power forward, but I wanted my squad to feel real. Here are the five Chicago Bears I picked for my basketball team. Keenan Allen - 6’2” Guard Allen played basketball in high school, but this story from a pick-up game at Ca ..read more

Starting LT Braxton Jones is in a pivotal year both for his career and the teams success. | Jamie Sabau-USA TODAY Sports The Bears OL has been decimated by injuries in recent years. Who can we least afford to lose this season? In the 2023 NFL season, only one Chicago Bears starting offensive linemen played in every single game. One. Standout rookie and 2023 first round pick Darnell Wright wins the prize for most reliable lineman. And he played at least one game with one arm, for all intents and purposes. The rest of the starting offensive line missed a combined 20 games in 2023, with Braxton J ..read more

Rome Odunze’s ‘Hard Knocks’ interview with Giants shows why he’s the perfect Chicago Bear

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports Rome Odunze was destined to be a Chicago Bear, and everything about his pre-draft process is proving it. Sometimes, there are things in life that seemingly can’t be explained by anything other than fate. The Chicago Bears trading away the No. 1 overall pick in 2023 just to land it again in 2024 with the uber-talented quarterback Caleb Williams there for the taking has to count in that regard, for example. And from the moment I first heard rookie receiver Rome Odunze open his mouth, I told everyone who would listen that he’d be a perfect Bear right alongside Williams ..read more
