Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is now a full-time starter for the Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans made the borderline surprising decision to release cornerback Chido Awuzie from his contract earlier this week. Awuzie was signed by previous general manager Ran Carthon to a three-year, $36 million deal just last offseason. His departure catapults sophomore cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. into a full-time boundary role opposite L’Jarius Sneed.
The Titans did not designate Awuzie as a post-June release, per Paul Kuharsky. They’ve elected to absorb the full $12.5 million ..read more

Both Daniel Jeremiah and Mel Kiper have the Tennessee Titans selecting Cam Ward in their latest mock drafts
The plan for the Tennessee Titans at No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft is becoming clearer. Both Mel Kiper Jr. and Daniel Jeremiah released brand-new first-round projections. Two of the more plugged-in daft analysts in the nation, Kiper and Jeremiah both have the Titans taking Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.

How is the Tennessee Titans’ roster shaping up following the first wave of NFL free agency?
The Tennessee Titans spent the first wave of NFL free agency plugging both long-term and short-term holes. General manager Mike Borgonzi has taken a concise approach to build the trenches while targeting durable players. With most notable free agents off the board, the first wave of player acquisition has officially concluded.
The Titans also hold the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. With major shake-ups via free agency likely in our rearview mirror, we’ve r ..read more

This was not a move I anticipated
The Tennessee Titans have released cornerback Chidobe Awuzie. This was not a move I saw coming. They signed him to a three-year $36 million dollar contract before last season. This move leaves them with just over $12.5 million in dead money and saves just over $1.725 million against this cap for this season, assuming he is a pre-June 1st cut. This regime really seems like they are determined to undo pretty much all of the deals that Ran Carthon did last offseason. Awuzie played in just eight games last season because of injuri ..read more

Have the Titans settled on Cam Ward?
The Tennessee Titans came into free agency with needs at pretty much every position on their roster. They told us when Mike Borgonzi was hired that they were going to be a “draft and develop” organization. That meant they weren’t going to go on a spending frenzy in free agency like they did before the 2024 season. They have stuck to that plan. Their signings, with the exception of Dan Moore, have been on a very short-term basis giving them upgrades at positions for 2025 without jeopardizing the salary cap down the roa ..read more

There’s the veteran quarterback?
The Tennessee Titans have signed quarterback Brandon Allen to a one-year deal according to Mike Garafalo:
The #Titans have agreed to terms with QB Brandon Allen on a one-year deal, source says.
Allen, the #49ers’ backup to Brock Purdy last year, reunites with Brian Callahan, his OC when both were with the #Bengals, on a deal done by @KyleStrongin of @RangeSportsRMP. pic.twitter.com/9n1v6pLozF

Another veteran QB off the market.
Mike Garafolo is reporting that Mason Rudolph is returning to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a 2-year deal that will pay the veteran quarterback up to $8 million. Garafolo mentions that Rudolph had an offer from the Tennessee Titans as well but chose to head back to Pittsburgh. I’m good with that. Rudolph played OK at times last year but was pretty underwhelming overall.
The interesting question here is whether this keeps either Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson from going to the Steelers. The rumor is that they have made an offer ..read more

The Titans are going to have a really good defensive line!
Last night it was reported that the Tennessee Titans have agreed to a 1-year $10 million deal with former Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones. This one came a little out of nowhere for me, but I like it. Jones will give them some versatility on the defensive line, as Denico Autry did when he was here. He’s more of a defensive end than an EDGE guy, but he can play both.
The Titans plan is clearly to build thing upfront first on the offensive and defensive line. They have done a good job w ..read more

Kenneth Murray, we hardly knew ye!
[UPDATE] - Jordan Schultz is reporting the Titans will get a sixth-round pick from the Cowboys in exchange for Murray and a seventh-round pick.
Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Tennessee Titans are trading ILB Kenneth Murray to the Dallas Cowboys. The Titans signed Murray to a 2-year $15.5 million dollar deal last offseason. Rapoport said the deal will be for a swap of late round picks.
Murray played in 14 games and had 95 tackles last season. He was pretty much as advertised in his time here. He was pretty good against t ..read more

There’s your starting right guard
The Tennessee Titans now have a serviceable offensive line with the addition of former Pro Bowler Kevin Zeitler. Adam Schefter is reporting the Titans have signed him to a 1-year $9 million deal. Zeitler, who just turned 35 this month, was with the Detroit Lions in 2024. He has also played for the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens in his 13-year NFL career.
Coming into free agency, we knew the Titans absolutely had to fix the offensive line. They have done a solid job of that with t ..read more
