Prop bets for Houston Texans vs. New York Jets
The Houston Texans (-3.5) can continue their upstart run for playoff contention this Sunday when they travel to the Big Apple (actually New Jersey) to face the New York Jets (+3.5).
Oh my god Nico Collins on this touchdown.
He had the DB absolutely lost.

Now that the rookie phenom is hurt, who is going to step up as Houston makes its playoff push?
One of the major developments coming out of the Houston Texans’ victory against the the Denver Broncos was rookie wide receiver Tank Dell’s season-ending leg injury. This was the one catastrophic development of an otherwise successful game, his loss putting a large damper on the satisfaction and good tidings of another victory. Despite being a rookie, Dell has been a vital element to every game of the season. He’s C.J. Stroud’s second-highest targeted player (Nico Colli ..read more

How will the Jets attempt to beat the Texans?
Everything is bigger in New York. That especially is true with the soap operas. No one seems to enjoy simple old-fashioned competence. There has to be something to fight about and there is plenty to fight about in the Meadowlands. In this case, it is Robert Salah, the offense in general, and Zach Wilson specifically. Wilson is proof enough that quarterbacks taken in the top five overall are hardly guarantees.
Still, we have to leave that aside and look at everything. The New York Jets are capable of ..read more

I don’t know what he’s saying here, but I know he’s wrong. | Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports
And we thought those Bears games were gonna be rough watching.
Hello, good evening, and welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season. Tonight, we have a prime time matchup...from 2007.
In decades past, this would be a must-watch game. But this year and this week, these teams are wretched and difficult to watch under the best of circumstances.
But at least there’ll be plenty of opportunities to mock Bill O’Brien for being bad at his job.
Since this is the game of the night, for reasons I can’t even beg ..read more

Has there been any movement for C.J. Stroud?
The “Value of Things” began as a more analytical look at the game of football. That can be no more present than in our look at the awards voting. Looking at statistics from week to week can seem like a little bit much, so I have staggered it a bit and looked every two games. Last week we handicapped win, place, and show for the award.
This week we will look at the top eight quarterbacks on the betting board. Tyreek Hill and Myles Garrett usually fill out the top ten. There might be some fluctuation as guys like Jordan ..read more

It’s the Derek Stingley vs Sauce Gardner bowl.
While the unfortunate Tank Dell news and all the hype around C.J. Stroud, who is currently second in the Pro Bowl voting, is getting most of the attention, Derek Stingley vs Sauce Gardner is the story this weekend. DraftKings Sportsbook has the Houston Texans as 3.5-point favorites as they take on the New York Jets.
This game is the 10th matchup between the Texans and Jets, with H-Town winning three of the past four, but NY taking six of the nine original meetings.

Houston’s winning ways are challenged in this week’s Groupthink
In case you haven’t caught your breath yet after Houston’s latest last-second victory over the Denver Broncos, you probably need to work on your breathing. Houston has played a majority of its games this season on a tight rope between winning and losing. They’ve been fortunate enough to walk across those lines and get out on top most of the time, but as we all know if you live by the sword you die by the sword.
Look, I’m not complaining about Houston winning. Which, based on my previous Groupthink q ..read more
