David Reginek-USA TODAY Sports Amon-Ra St. Brown gave ESPN a very optimistic update on contract talks with the Detroit Lions. The last we heard of contract talks between the Detroit Lions and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, the two sides were preparing to meet at the NFL Combine at the beginning of March. Since then, it’s been pretty quiet, although St. Brown has not been spotted at voluntary offseason activities at Allen Park lately. However, there is good news on the horizon. St. Brown talked with ESPN’s Eric Woodyard this week, and gave a very optimistic outlook on where negotiations curre ..read more

Photo by Rich Schultz/Getty Images With pick No. 61 in the 2024 POD Community Mock Draft, the Detroit Lions select... Our 2024 Pride of Detroit Community Mock is nearly concluded, but before we put a bow on the series, we still have one last profile to explore. This offseason, our POD mock drafters did a great job of picking a lot of great prospects the Lions might be interested in, leaving me with some tough choices. We asked readers to vote on who they would like me to select—a reminder that I took Chop Robinson at pick No. 29—and as is tradition, I made my selection before the voting began ..read more

WVU center Zach Frazier is everything the Detroit Lions could possibly want in an offensive lineman. In last year’s NFL Draft, I would argue there was no prospect more DAN CAMPBELL GRIT than linebacker Jack Campbell. It came as very little surprise that Detroit took him, despite the fact that the Lions didn’t have a pressing need at linebacker. If I were to award that honor to a player in the 2024 NFL Draft class, it would go to West Virginia center Zach Frazier, and I think he should be on the short list of candidates for the Detroit Lions’ 29th overall pick—the reasoning goes well beyond hi ..read more

Mandi Wright / USA TODAY NETWORK A look at the Detroit Lions’ top 10 needs entering the 2024 NFL Draft: The Detroit Lions are heading into the 2024 NFL Draft without even one pressing need. In fact, there’s a very, very good chance that whoever the Lions take with the 29th overall pick (or wherever their first pick eventually lands) will not be a day one starter. Things are that good in Detroit right now. But the NFL Draft is not just for taking care of your current year’s roster. The impact of a single draft class can last several seasons, or even decades if you know what you’re doing. And wh ..read more
