Dawson Deaton was a 7th round pick in the 2022 NFL draft
The Cleveland Browns, like all teams, hope for close to miracles in the final two rounds of the NFL draft. The results the team got out of WR Donovan Peoples-Jones for a few years is more than a success story, it is the exception to the rule.
This year’s draft class has three players from the sixth and seventh rounds who are hoping to make it despite the long odds: LB Nathaniel Watson, CB Myles Harden (“a major value”) and DT Jowon Briggs.
After signing center Brian Allen earlier this week, one former late-roun ..read more

Darius Shaquille Leonard one of the few that fits the bill
The Cleveland Browns were busy in NFL free agency even if their only splash this offseason came in a trade for WR Jerry Jeudy. The NFL draft has come and gone with the Browns sticking with their six selections to add a variety of interesting players for specific reasons.
Turning back to free agency, Cleveland added another player to the interior of their offensive line this week in what looks like a final addition on top of signing or re-signing:

Browns star tight end will not allow disrespect
Whether it is Joakim Noah’s ‘no one vacations in Cleveland,’ ‘the Browns are the Browns’ or any number of negative statements based on the small market and city’s history, Cleveland and the Cleveland Browns take more than their fair share of negative comments. While some can be based in fact, most are just generalized statements of negativity for no reason.
Browns TE David Njoku has become a defender of the city and the team. Njoku is not shy about putting his opinion out there. He shot back at a silly comment from ..read more

Cleveland’s work in developing draft picks might have Michael Hall Jr. lined up for success.
The phrase “Cleveland must be doing something right” has not often been uttered in connection to the Cleveland Browns.
That is understandable for a franchise with only one winning season out of 17 from 2003 through 2019.

Harrison Bryant and Sione Takitaki earn Cleveland comp picks in next year’s NFL draft
As we have noted multiple times, NFL free agency isn’t over but it has slowed to a crawl. The Cleveland Browns made the signing of OL Brian Allen official this week but their roster, looking at their offensive and defensive depth charts, is pretty full.
While the NFL draft has mostly been boring for Browns fans the last few years, the team is projected to have eight picks in 2025 including all of theirs in the first four rounds. Given the turnover at the bottom of the roster in f ..read more
