One last mock draft from Daniel Jeremiah
It’s that time when everyone is getting their last mock drafts in before the NFL Draft itself.
Former NFL scout and current NFL Network draft evaluator Daniel Jeremiah released his fourth, and final mock draft, of this year’s cycle on Wednesday evening.
Jeremiah makes a now-familiar selection for the New York Giants, giving them LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers.
6. New York Giants - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
In this scenario, I think the Giants’ selection would come down to Nabers versus Rome Odunze. To me, that’s a flip-a ..read more

Most Giants fans are set on a receiver in the first round
On the eve of the 2024 NFL Draft, New York Giants fans know who they want to see their team draft.
Well, the position, anyway. They’re pretty well split on exactly “who”.
In our final Reacts poll just before the draft, we asked Giants fans who they would want the team to draft in the first round. The choices offered were,
Drake Maye (QB, UNC)
Rome Odunze (WR, Washington)
J.J. McCarthy (QB, Michigan)
Malik Nabers (QB, LSU).
The community responded overwhelmingly that they want the team to draft one o ..read more

The Wolverines QB discusses the idea of playing in New York on the Rich Eisen Show
Football fans eagerly await the night before the 2024 NFL Draft, which is like Christmas Eve.
One intriguing prospect is J.J. McCarthy, the national champion quarterback of the Michigan Wolverines, who will receive much attention during Thursday night's first round of selections.
NFL Network Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah ranked McCarthy as the 20th prospect in his final draft board rankings ahead of Thursday night. Only quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye ranked ..read more

Is Nabers the receiver for the Giants?
LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers should be a very familiar name at this point. He’s been featured at the top of pretty much every mock draft of the 2024 NFL Draft cycle. He’s also been the player most commonly mocked to the New York Giants at sixth overall.
He’s one of the most explosive offensive players in the draft, highly productive, and plays a position that’s commonly cited as the Giants’ greatest weakness. It seems like a natural fit.
So what does Nabers really bring to the table, and is he the right receiver fo ..read more

Money aside, the team situation matters more in the long run
Thursday evening’s first round of the NFL Draft can’t get here soon enough. Just about everything that can be said about the top quarterback prospects has already been said, unless photos surface of one of them in a gas mask bong or having an accident driving an ATV this week.
What hasn’t been talked about very much, though, is these quarterbacks’ chances for success in the NFL depending on the team that selects them. At this point in 2023, Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud were cons ..read more

Could Fuaga be the best tackle to come out of this draft?
Who’s the top offensive tackle in the 2024 NFL Draft?
One name you’ll hear mentioned as being among the top tackles is Oregon State right tackle Taliese Fuaga. But could he wind up being the best tackle to come out of this draft class?
Fuaga doesn’t have the athletic upside of some of the other tackle prospects, however he’s a confident and sound technician who does just about everything well. He also plays with a mauler’s mentality while rarely putting himself in bad positions. Fuaga’s position as a ..read more

Can GM Joe Schoen swing a deal to make it happen?
Multiple reports indicate that the New York Giants are trying to pry the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft away from the New England Patriots in an effort to select North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye.
Jordan Ranaan and Dan Graziano of ESPN are both reporting that the Giants are hunting for Maye. Graziano said:
“A month ago, many in the league believed their favorite quarterback in the class was [J.J.] McCarthy. If that were true, things have changed. The rumblin ..read more

Can Trader Joe get a steal on draft night?
The 2024 NFL Draft is almost here, and with it the newest crop of New York Giants.
Ed has been doing a great job of presenting scenarios each week leading up to the draft as a way of examining the myriad ways in which the draft could play out.
One scenario that’s intrigued me is the idea of coming away from the draft with a quarterback as well as a top wide receiver.
However, I think there’s a very real possibility that neither Bo Nix nor Michael Penix Jr. makes it past the Las Vegas Raiders at 13th overall. So ..read more

Ty Dunne also sees the Drake Maye-Josh Allen comparison
An NFL analyst familiar with Brian Daboll’s work with the Buffalo Bills issued an impassioned defense of the New York Giants head coach during an appearance Tuesday on the Big Blue View YouTube channel.
Ty Dunne of the outstanding subscription-based website GoLongTD.com, pushed back on an assertion by former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert that the Giants would not be a good landing spot for a rookie quarterback in need of development, like Drake Maye of North Carolina.
“I’m not sure what this justification for that was, having not seen it ..read more
