Graham Barton, OL, Duke
The Buccaneers’ current projected starter at left guard is ... old friend Sua Opeta. Eagles fans know he can be a good backup to have but he’s not an ideal starter. Never a bad idea to bolster the offensive line.

Current state of the Packers
Last season the Packers made it to divisional round of the playoffs, losing to the 49ers after beating the Cowboys in memorable fashion in the wild card. And there are plenty of reasons why the Packers must be feeling optimistic about their current state. Jordan Love seems to be on his way to becoming a franchise quarterback and last year draft picks turned into imm ..read more

Nobody knows what the Birds will do
The NFL Draft is finally here this week. One last mock draft Monday, until we start on the 2025 mocks next Monday. I’m kidding.
For weeks we’ve run through mock drafts and they usually fell in line with a prospect of the week, almost always a cornerback. For a while it was Quinyon Mitchell, then it was Kool-Aid McKinstry. Nate Wiggins and Cooper DeJean each got a run. Now we are days away from the draft and no one is quite sure what the Eagles will do, there is no consensus.

2024 NFL draft notes, intel: What Adam Schefter is hearing - ESPN+
The Eagles’ history of first-round trades. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has a history of trading up in Round 1 for the player he wants. He did it in 2019 to get offensive tackle Andre Dillard, in 2021 to get wide receiver Devonta Smith, in 2022 to get defensive lineman Jordan Davis and again in 2023 to get defensive tackle Jalen Carter, Davis’ teammate at Georgia. If Roseman wants a cornerbac ..read more

It’s draft season! I’ve been busy watching a bunch of these prospects, so in the lead-up to the draft, I’ll be releasing my rankings. Before you read ahead, please keep in mind the following!
I have ranked these players based on the Eagles’ needs and scheme fits. Therefore, the round grade I have given considers that. For example, I may have had a 2nd round grade on a player like Trey Benson if the Eagles badly needed a running back, but I have pushed him down the board after the signing of Barkley.
Please focus more on the tiers rather th ..read more

We got deals on deals
Let’s go to the polls:
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t a virtual tie.
I think the Eagles are more likely to trade up than to sit still. I go back and forth on if it’s for a CB or an OT.
Why can’t the Eagles seem to successfully draft players in the back half of the first round? They’ve been able to hit on players trading up, but they also seem to do pretty well in the 2nd round between Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders, Jalen Hurts, Cam Jurgens (bit of projection there). Is Roseman just getting boxed in by feeling he has to ..read more

Getting guys that are “Jeff Stoutland approved” would be good, in my opinion.
On Wednesday, NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah held a big conference call that touched on a wide variety of NFL Draft topics. BLG already talked about Jeremiah’s thoughts on the Eagles trading up for a corner, but there were also more Philadelphia-related nuggets during the call.
A reporter asked Jeremiah about which offensive linemen the Eagles might consider in the first round, saying “they look for offensive linemen that have at least one really unique physical trait ..read more

This board fell perfectly for Philadelphia to address one of the Eagles’ major needs.
Never say never when it comes to the NFL Draft.
Last year at this time, the idea that the Philadelphia Eagles could land both Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round seemed like fan fiction.
And so let’s not rule out the possibility that Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell could fall to the Birds at the No. 22 overall pick.
Unlikely? Sure. Impossible? Not quite, especially in a scenario where he drops to within reasonable range of trading up.
In the case of the annual SB N ..read more
