Can anxiety cause physical pain ?
Chronic Illness | Reddit

Currently I’m in doubt if the pain I have is something of my body or something of my mind. I’ve been in pain for over a month and it’s been getting worse this last 2 weeks (which coincides with hated changes in routine). I have a lot o problems related to my anxiety’s disorders and neurodivergence(like nervous gastritis, tics… etc). But what started as a 1-2 pain baseline and 5-6 max is now on a 3-4 baseline and 7-8 max. submitted by /u/Noodlesboo_101 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Seeking Advice - Struggling with Health Issues and Feeling Misunderstood and Lost

It sounds so ugly, but sometimes I really think I'm just crazy and not sick. Long story short, my journey into what feels like madness officially started about 7-8 years ago with acne problems. It led to countless dermatologist appointments, Accutane, hormonal pills, until someone thought to refer me to a gynecologist 2 years ago (as a then-underage person who had no idea what a gynecologist was; it certainly couldn't have occurred to me to go for a check-up alone, and even if it did, I couldn't have gone because I was underage, and once I turned 18, the pandemic started, etc.). Back then, I ..read more

Should I come out to the doctors that I’m agender? Would it make the “just anxiety” worse?

Doctors all refer me as a girl and she/her. It feels kinda strange but I’m fine with it. Should I correct her? Will it make the “just anxiety” and “all in your head” worse? submitted by /u/Hesperus07 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Extreme Body Fatigue After Smoking
Chronic Illness | Reddit

I've been dealing with chronic issues for about 7 years now. I'm chronically fatigued to the point where I can't work anymore. I've yet to be able to get a diagnosis unfortunately and now that I'm out of work I can no longer see doctors to try and figure it out and get help. I had a doctor tell me that she thinks it's CFS but it might be heart related, idk. Sorry for rambling just trying to have context. I've been a pothead for most of my life and even with my symptoms getting worse, I was always able to smoke with no issues. But recently after taking a few months break from it, I decided to ..read more

Losing weight is scary.

TW: discussion of weight. Context: I’ve been struggling with chronic nausea since August 2023. I had H. Pylori and got treated in December 2023. I thought things would get better but it hasn’t. Now, I vomit once or twice a week and still deal with nausea. I’m able to eat but my appetite is limited due to the nausea and getting full sooner. The only things that have been found is gastritis and internal hemorrhoids. I’ve done a GES, EGD, Colonoscopy, metabolic panel, and CBC for testing. My GI suspects a functional disease (most likely functional dyspepsia). Throughout the entire process, I wen ..read more

Ways to deal with nausea.

My GF has lupus and one of the side effects of both her meds and her illness is nausea. She copes with the nausea with THC but she is wanting to take a break from THC for a while. I wanted to see if anyone could help me find something natural and possibly low mental load to help with the nausea after quitting THC. I say low load because she already has so much mental load managing her illness that I want to find something that doesn't add much of any additional load. We don't live together so I can't take up the extra load if the remedy is high load / effort. Mint isn't helpful or at least no ..read more

Getting A Diagnosis
Chronic Illness | Reddit

Getting a diagnosis takes FOREVER and it’s actually rlly frustrating!! So about 8 months ago, i started feeling RLLY sick, so i went to the doctors, and the first 2-3 times of visiting my general physician, she just sort of told me it was a stomach bug or infection of sorts, so all i went home with was some nausea meds and got told to take some vitamins and drink gatorade. Then, after about the 4th time, she finally did some stool/urine/blood tests and after those all came back negative, she finally set smth up with an obgyn and gi doctor. BUT seeing a specialist takes like 2-4 months to actu ..read more
