This week will be a very busy week with the Combined Concert Band’s B Lunch Rehearsal today, the Marching Band’s concert and parade rehearsals today and tomorrow, 3rd Period Dress Rehearsal tomorrow, the Winter Concert on Wednesday, and the Centreville Christmas Parade on Friday.  Please make sure that we have all Basket Raffle items brought in by the end of the day today. This week will be a short two-day week before we have Thanksgiving Break.  The Concert and Symphonic Bands will continue to prepare for the Winter Concert next week.  Additionally, the Marching Band will be coming back together today to start their preparations for the concert, Christmas parade, and Winter Tour. This week is a bit of a shorter week once again for the students due to having a half day with a 12:00 PM dismissal on Thursday and no school on Friday.  The Concert and Symphonic Band will continue their preparations for both our Winter Concert at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29th, and our Winter Tour to SMS and CMS during the school day on Wednesday, December 20th.  The November Band Parents meeting is being moved to next Thursday, November 9th due to the Varsity Football Play-Off Game being played at home at 6:00 PM this Thursday. Region 9 Championships.  The Concert and Symphonic Bands will continue to prepare for the Winter Concert that will be on November 29th.  The Marching Lions will have the Kent Island game on Friday night. Last night, the 2023 QACHS Marching Lions Band closed their competition season at the T.O.B. Region 9 Championships. With this they earned a score of 76.78, earning them a third-place finish out of four bands in Group 1 A.  Along with this accomplishment, they brought home the awards for 3rd Place Music and 3rd Place Auxillary. The 2023 Region 9 Championships is being held at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, DE. Championships will be held as a single show and will start with the A-Class Bands at 4:00PM and the Open Class Bands at 7:15 PM and conclude with a combined awards ceremony after the last band performs which should be at about 8:30 PM. Tickets are available for purchase from Mr. Wright.
