Congratulations to the 4 students who represented QACHS Saturday evening as members of the 2024 Senior All-Shore Honors Band! Today, 10 of our students walked over the wooden bridge to Centreville Middle School to perform and be adjudicated at the Maryland District V Solo and Ensemble Festival.  These 10 students performed as a part of 6 different events made up of one solo, three duets, one trio, and one quartet that were all student-led and rehearsed.  The outcome of the morning is, they brought home 4 Superior Ratings, 1 Excellent Rating, and 1 Rating of Good ..read more

This week we are enjoying a much-needed week off for spring break after the busy weeks that we have had over the past couple of months.  This will give us a chance to recharge just a bit and be ready for the final push into the end of this year.   We have a busy set of weeks coming up as we work to get ready for the Spring Concert, the trip to Tennessee, and our Night of Jazz.  We will then begin to shift gears and look forward to the excitement of what next year can bring as we begin our spring clinics and training camps for the 2024-2025 Marching Lions Band. The 2024 musical production of “Beauty and the Beast” had another great set of performances this past weekend. Today the Concert and Symphonic Bands will have their final rehearsals for District Band Festival, which is on Tuesday. Below you will find our schedule for the day. Last Friday was the due date for the District Festival Permission Slip.  If it has not been turned in, it needs to be done today. HAPPY NATIONAL MARCHING ARTS DAY….MARCH FORTH! We had a very successful opening weekend for “Beauty and the Beast” with the performances held on both Friday and Saturday nights.  This week we will perform a daytime show for Elementary students on Thursday.  We will then close the show next weekend after giving a performance on Saturday evening and then on Sunday afternoon.
