COSMOLEDO ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 22 – 29 FEB 2024 The week started off leading up to full moon spring tides for the end of February. We had great water movement from the start of the week right through to the last day. If they favoured a surf walk, the guests had the opportunity to do it daily. Helmut Zaderer had a phenomenal week of fishing. He put in many hours searching for a big fish and managed to catch two fine specimens that achieved the meter mark: a Giant trevally of 121 cm and a second of 125 cm.  FARQUHAR ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 28 FEB – 06 MAR 2024 This week on Astove was characterized by spring tides, good weather, huge smiles on our guests’ faces, and the very first GTs for many. Day one started off a bit slow, yet everyone got stuck into bonefish. Dan and Harold managed to land a total of 12 bonefish, and Jeff and Jim got 10 between them.  FARQUHAR ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 28 FEB – 06 MAR 2024 Four eager anglers from America and Russia arrived on Farquhar this week with high hopes. Their eyes were keenly set on GTs. The first few days of fishing proved difficult as conditions were almost too good. Low wind conditions made for difficult GT fly fishing despite the fact that we had some good sightings. ALPHONSE ISLAND FLY FISHING REPORT | 17 – 24 FEB 2024 This week of the season turned out to be yet another awesome week on Alphonse and St Francois. The Atolls showcased its continuous consistency in providing some phenomenal catches. PROVIDENCE ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 18 – 25 FEB 2024 This week on Providence, big geets, bumpies, triggers, and sailfish were all on the cards. Daniel Factor hosted a group with Brent Poultney, Terence and Mitch Sharman, Francois, and Alex Du Preez. The trip began with sailfish action as Terry was soon hooked into a fish. ALPHONSE ISLAND FLY FISHING REPORT | 10 – 17 FEB 2024 This week was yet another epic week of fishing and weather on Alphonse and St. Francois. Sunny days, light winds, and spring tides ensured that many fish were out and about on the atolls, and the conditions made sight fishing as easy as it could possibly be. ATOVE ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 12 – 19 FEB 2024 The weather held up nicely this week, and the tides played their part. Astove had a mix of guests sharing stories and catches every evening over dinner. We welcomed Laurent, no stranger to the Seychelles but visiting Astove for the first time. He started on a strong foot from day one, catching himself a 70 cm GT. Giani got his first GT in the lagoon measuring 60 cm, along with 12 bonefish. COSMOLEDO ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 15 – 22 FEB 2024 The tide was mostly centered around the neap tides after the February new moon. The plastid water movements created prime conditions in the lagoon, perfect for poling on our sand and grass flats. Mike Bonney was able to bag himself a huge Cosmoledo bonefish, measuring in at 72 cm, an outstanding-sized bone! Congratulations, Mike, on this incredible bonefish!
