TLDR: I keep feeling like I need to sleep while working. An overwhelming sleepiness takes over and it's hard to keep my eyes open, even when I'm busy, even when I'm enjoying my tasks, even when I've had good sleep, even with coffee. Does anyone randomly get sharp pains in your ribs when you inhale? It seems to happen to me for no reason, front and back. So, I took Gabapentin for a little less than a year (900mg/day at the highest) and have been off for two months now. I came off Gaba because it caused hellacious problems with my memory and cognition, not because of anything pain-related. While I didn't think Gabapentin was doing much for my pain, I've noticed more frequent flare-ups and longer durations of them after stopping. Is this safe? I'm worried about taking this. It was prescribed because I have what the doctor believes to be nerve pain around neck and head and also have some low mood and anxiety.
