Hello everyone,
I have decided that I want to pursue a career in public health particularly global health and I am considering doing my MPH. I currently hold a Bachelor of Business and I was wondering if it was possible to penetrate into the global health field with my current degree and potentially do my MPH later on. I would go straight into MPH however it would cost around 60-70k.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Has anyone used a reference besides their PI? And if so, do you think it affected your chances? For personal reasons I rather use a past supervisor but I don’t know if that would be considered a red flag.

Given the recent developments surrounding H5N1, do we think the public health sector will soon see more funding? Potentially more jobs opportunities like wastewater surveillance or even creation of One Health related positions? Personally, I’m not hopeful. Communication to the public about the current infections doesn’t seem to be readily available in a timely manner. No one wants to “deal with” another pandemic. Thoughts?

Hello everyone, I'm basically looking for as the title says. A little about me: I got my BS in neuroscience and psychology, was a pre-med, got my MS later on but eventually decided to not pursue med school. I am currently working in biomedical research, but I want to make a transition to public health. I thought pursuing an MPH with concentrations in healthcare management and policy made the most sense. However, I've also been considering law programs for the healthcare law concentration (not sure how to call it) as I heard they can also help with jobs and get me where I would like. I don't t ..read more

hey guys, I'm from India
I'm going to be completing a 3-year BSc degree, and i wish to pursue the MPH abroad (Europe, usa, uk, NZ, Singapore mainly). Having a 4 year honours seems to be a requirement so I'll be doing a 2 year MSc in either Economics (health specialization), backup which would be an MPH here in India
how would an MSc Economics (Health) help me abroad and if not that course, I've applied to MPH here itself and will take another one abroad again.
Which other masters course would you recommend i take here to help my chances of getting in an MPH abroad?
note: I'm 22, I'll be comin ..read more

This is a public health emergency response (or lack thereof) disaster that I cannot get out of my mind. Andrew Cuomo and NYS DOH commissioner Howard Zucker caused thousands of elderly to die in nursing homes (CNN, NYT, AP, BI, ProPublica). Shouldn't they be charged with murder or manslaughter?
At the height of covid, covid-positive nursing home residents were released from hospitals after being treated for covid. Many operators of nursing homes were ready to refuse these residents from returning to the nursing homes since they were covid positive and would spread disease to the rest of the re ..read more
