Storm Technology, the business technology consultancy, has announced the findings of a new survey which reveals that 41% of IT leaders think their company will become 100% remote in the future.
The survey – conducted by Tech Central and involving more than 100 IT decision-makers from larger enterprises and businesses across Ireland – found that over two thirds (67%) think their organisation is currently equipped to support such a move.

Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly TD announced funding support of €300,000 by Google.org, the philanthropic arm of Google, to fund nonprofits supporting local employment opportunities through the Local Employment Task Force.
Launched in 2021 with support from Google, the Employment Task Force aims to find sustainable employment solutions for long-term unemployed people from the south inner city and provide training and development opportunities. The latest Surfshark report analyses the number of accounts specified in user data requests for Big Tech by the local authorities and law enforcement agencies. In total, over 6.6 million accounts were requested in 177 countries from 2013 to 2021, with a steady increase in the latest years. Ireland ranks 6th globally and 4th in Europe with 395.6 accounts requested per 100k people. The research shows that US and EU authorities request data the most. Apple complied with the most user data requests (82%), compared to Meta, Google, and Microsoft (72%, 71%, and 68%, respectively).
