The Dreamiest of Days | Noosa Hinterland Wedding Shoot

I was thrilled to recently be asked to do the makeup for a Noosa Hinterland wedding photo shoot with an incredible team. As soon as I saw the brief, I knew it was right up my alley. The Makeup I was asked to design a look that was sophisticated and simplistic. So I decided to go with a look I’ve been absolutely loving lately. I created a very gentle winged liner using a brown eyeshadow. This style elongates the eye, creating definition and sophistication, without creating heaviness. It also allows the look to remain soft, which went well with the overall theme of the shoot. I blended natural ..read more

Glow Down in Isolation | Beauty Routines You Can Skip For Now

I’ve been thinking how free I feel in isolation with less focus on all things beauty. I thought I’d share some ways you too can #glowdown with purpose. It’s makeunder time! Okay, so I think it goes without saying that I’m a biiiiiiig makeup fan. Huge. Right now, for example, unless I have a Zoom Chat to get to (and even then, it has to be a work thing…) I’m loving going completely makeup free. Ever wished your brows were bushy enough to rock that bushy brow trend, but can’t help plucking the strays? As if! Now’s your chance to just let it go and grow those babies! Don’t worry a ..read more

Katherine + Ryan’s Mooloolaba Wedding

Katherine’s Mooloolaba wedding photos are some of my most favourite of all time. Seriously. She looks so happy and so gosh darn gorgeous. (Just quietly, I like to think I had a hand in that!) For Katherine’s makeup, she had but one main request – to make her look like a total stunner. For her eye makeup, I went with all matte shadows and a thin clean black eyeliner to create a base for her lashes. We went for mostly natural colours, but with a sneaky blend of subtle burgundy and cranberry tones. This was designed to tie in with her floral colour palette and her bridesmaids’ burgundy dr ..read more

Amy + Duncan’s Flaxton Gardens Wedding

Timeless is the word I would use to describe Amy’s glam wedding style from makeup and hair to her fashion. In fact, the entirety of Amy and Duncan’s hinterland wedding at Flaxton Gardens was a contemporary classic masterpiece. For Amy’s makeup we kept it simple on the eyes with a little eye shadow socket definition and a clean winged liner. The main focus was on creating the perfect brows (my speciality, if I do say so myself..!) and luscious lashes. From the very beginning Amy knew she wanted to wear her own signature red lipstick on her wedding day. I think she made a brilliant c ..read more

Justine + Darcy’s Montville Wedding

For Justine’s Montville wedding to Darcy, she chose a pretty romantic style fitting for the hinterland location. Our senior makeup artist, Hannah, looked after Justine on her Montville wedding day. She helped Hannah and her bridesmaids achieve their desired wedding makeup design by creating a soft smokey eye and a perfectly designed, yet natural brow. The bride and bridesmaids all wore a nude pink lip with just a touch of gloss. Makeup artist, Hannah, has been one of our most sought after artists in our team of Sunshine Coast makeup artists. Ella + Adrian’s Yandina Station Wedding

Wow. What a beautiful wedding to be part of! Ella was the dream bride, and I absolutely loved her entire wedding aesthetic. The location inspired a country style with very pretty pastel elements, which we incorporated into the wedding makeup. For Ella’s wedding makeup, we played up her eyes in a smokey style with gold shimmer and a focus on long, yet natural, lashes. Ella wanted a flush of pink on her cheeks and a nude lip. The bridesmaids kept within a similar colour palette, but the bride was happy for each of her girls to choose makeup styles they were comfortable with. Thank yo ..read more

Supplements for Skin and Hair
Sally Townsend

It’s about time I confessed I’m an absolute sucker for supplements. I know there’s controversy surrounding the supplement market, with some claiming they’re a waste of money. I respect that feeling, but I will dare to disagree. First of all, I think it’s worth noting that not all supplements are created equal. Let’s get that part out of the way now. Just like we can’t expect every foundation to be on point, every car to be a dream, every hotel to be perfect, every dishwashing liquid to perform well… you get where I’m going with this, right? There are going to be some that are lesser in qualit ..read more

Sarah wore a beeyootiful Anna Campbell gown for her Currimundi wedding to Steven, where they both live. She wanted a natural and simple makeup design with a bold lip. So that’s exactly what she got! I love red lips with blue eyes, and it punches even more with pretty dark hair. Bec was a breath of fresh air, and her wedding day morning was absolutely delightful. She cleverly chose the Duporth Apartments to get ready in. These are one of my fave getting ready locations for Sunshine Coast weddings in the Maroochydore area, because they are spacious, air-conditioned, easy to access, and have the most amazing views of Maroochy River from every single apartment. Seriously, as a mobile Sunshine Coast makeup artist I see a LOT of local apartments; I can tell you all the best places. It makes such a big difference to your wedding morning if you’re in a comfortable and suita ..read more
