I'm a male with mid length 4a-4b hair!
I want to create a moisturizing product for my hair. I wash my hair once a week with shampoo and conditioner. During the week, my routine is to just get my hair wet in the shower and apply my products. Sometimes on the night before my wash days I will oil my scalp and use shea butter to lock in moisture before shampooing and conditioning the next day.
If I want to create a product of my own to fit this routine, should I include shea butter (or any oils) in the product if its intended for daily use? A lot of my favorite products have shea and coconut oil ..read more

I’m early 40s, very committed to natural beauty and I get allergic reactions to additives and preservatives in cosmetic products, so I use facial oils and natural products.
However, most of my friends are now doing botox (some are also getting filler), and while I don’t think it is for me, I am conscious that in 10 years I will likely look far older than all of them due to lines, wrinkles and sagging.
For those who rely on natural beauty, what have you tried instead? I fully support the idea of ageing naturally, but also, you know, I do admit that the thought of looking old frightens me.

Have had a fungal infection on my toenails for a year or two now. Started on the big toe on my left foot, and then big toe on my right foot. Cracked and very discoloured and extremely thick. Small bits of discolouring on my other nails too.
Was prescribed lamilsil oral tablets last year but was taken off them as I had a bad reaction to it. Haven’t seen a medical professional since about them, and was hoping to treat them at home.
Recently came out with bad athletes foot too, so hoping to treat that too. Seen a lot about using tea tree oil, and was wondering if that was the best remedy for tre ..read more

Hello all! So I make my own lotion. I wanted something I KNEW had only ingredients that wouldn’t clog pores. I share with friends and have used it on my kid since he was born almost 5 years ago. With him, I found that my lotion was better on his diaper rashes than any other I tried. So now I make an extra lotion for a friend of mine that had a baby for diaper rashes.
We also live on the plains of Colorado so wind chapped lips are common. I had made some of my usual but added some peppermint oil. I used it on my lips when they got chapped and it felt fantastic. I mentioned this to that friend ..read more

I haven’t given it an honest go just yet as I’m a beginner but I’m a tad bit worried about breakouts (which I feel are inevitable with my skin). Did you experience them and how long did they last?

Hello lovely folk!
I’m considering making the “switch” to natural beauty after years and I’m pretty clueless.
What I have at my disposal as of now is a tallow balm, tallow soap, natural shampoo bar (arriving in the mail soon), different oils (sweet almond, castor, hemp seed, rosehip seed, vitamin e), some essential oils, beeswax, shea butter, natural deodorant (not the best but a good start) and whatever is usually found in a kitchen such as ACV etc.
I’m a skincare junkie and have used active ingredients and harsh shampoos on my skin and hair for years so I’m aware that I might go through a t ..read more

Has anyone had experience in making beet lipbalm? I just can't figure how to emulsify beet juice/powder with oil. I use coconut oil. Another method to get the positive results? TIA
