Hello again We drove down to Shawnee Oklahoma to an event one of our sons was involved with.  Bobby works full time and has a family but he’s also a competitive barbecue cook and has own line of seasonings.    very tasty Spare Ribs all perfect to turn in for judging.   The cooking is all done outside in the parking lot.  They all have trailers or tents,  an assortment of cookers,  lots of lawn chairs and lots of friendship.  They cooks are competing against each other but they also seem to have deep friendships.   There was an indoor banquet a ..read more

Hello everyone  I planted these tomato and pepper seeds Feb 5 and it was pretty cold then  It took a while but they all sprouted and seem to be growing a little everyday  We really like that cabbage bean soup I wrote about a few days ago.  This morning I made a double batch of it.   The photo is not beautiful but the soup is tasty  I baked a new recipe I saw from Meals with Maria- she has a YouTube channel and a blog  Oatmeal Cookie Bars I followed the recipe. good morning everyone. I wrote a to do list last  night and it’s not too long my husband was doing a few things outside this morning while I cooked breakfast so when it was ready,  I just took our breakfast to the patio I made hashbrowns from the one leftover baked potato from yesterday. Hello everyone and happy second day of autumn to everyone It has been very hot and dry in Oklahoma, but yesterday we got a little bit of rain and the temperatures dropped significantly. Hello everyone  We’re attending a new to us church.  Their new pastor is someone we’ve known for more than 20 years.   We’ve jumped into several  activities and are really glad to be doing so.   My favorite is the sewing group.   Look at this wonderful sewing space full of supplies and workers.   The main sewing project is tote bags.  they have one pocket inside and one pocket outside.  The handles are webbing.   Missionaries take this bags to other countries and gift them to people in very poor areas. hello everyone, Thank you all so much for the big welcome back First I have a thrift tip      I prefer to use our dishwasher over handwashing and I used to use pods, but can you believe the price of those things now? I switched  exclusively to this powder detergent from Walmart and it works great in our dishwasher.   I don’t like pouring straight from the box because it comes out too fast so I switched to using an empty drink mix container that also had a scoop I marked the scoop with a permanent marker at about 1 tablespoon.
