Hello, Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. I'll remove this post if that's the case. I plan on purchasing an electric guitar in Japan and bringing it back to Canada on the plane (estimated value will be about 1500-3000 CAD). Since it is a high demand route it is likely that there won't be room in the cabin and the guitar will most likely be gate-checked. Due to the high chance of being gate-checked, I want to purchase insurance for the guitar just for the flight. Is this sort of insurance even offered? Who can I purchase this from? I really like this band, called random and listened to their album upload “another night alone” from 1999, all the time on YouTube. Sadly, it was deleted with no trace of it left.
