Drove from Auckland to Hamilton last night. As usual, Southern Motorway was closed between Papakura and Drury. Expecting the usual trip down Gt south road to Drury, we found that someone decided it was a good time to do roadworks between Papakura and Drury on Great Sth Road too. Got to a situation where both the motorway and the detour were closed and everyone driving round and round Papakura trying to find how to get to Drury.
