I’ve been traveling and living abroad for almost ten years now, and these are definitely the BEST travel credit cards for points and perks in 2023!
I have all of these cards despite the high annual fees. It’s probably not necessary to have both but the perks make it worth it. So I will explain the benefits of each one, what I use it for, and why I recommend it.
Also if you click my links (they are referral links) you get extra bonus points if you sign up and spend money in the first few months for some of them!

You may have heard about the recent crimes against Uber drivers in Cancun, so here is my safe transportation options in Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun.
Please note: I have been going to this area for years and I now also own a condo in Tulum. I absolutely love this region, and I am aware of potential dangers, but I have always stuck to my safety pre-cautions, and have never had any issues. Please check out my Is Mexico Safe post to read about them!
ALSO NOTE: I do not go to Cancun. So I don’t have a ton of info for safe taxis there.

Raise your hand if you want to know how to avoid Airbnb’s high fees! Seriously though, how much does it suck when you think you’ve found a great deal, then when you go to book, Airbnb adds on a couple hundred dollars in fees? No bueno.
While it is slightly more risky to avoid them (and slightly risky for me to even post this), sometimes it has to be done.
That being said, please do not blame me if you need to cancel or something and can’t because it’s not “through” Airbnb. Only take this advice at your own risk and if you accept full responsibility!
Also to protect the hosts I’ve stayed with ..read more

Five years ago almost every Antarctica expedition company denied my pitch to collaborate with them because “my demographic and I were not their target audience”. I was a twenty-nine year old solo female traveler and blogger, and despite my large audience and establishment in the travel industry, it meant nothing since we weren’t “Late-50’s, retired, married, and male.”
Today, five years later, I have just completed my third expedition to Antarctica, and I have brought over one hundred and twenty guests, 95% of which were millennial women.
Full honesty, while I am so proud of this, and my group ..read more

Can you imagine sea kayaking in Antarctica? While penguins dart like torpedoes underneath you, and icebergs show off their many shades of blue that plunge down into the dark abyss below? Ok maybe that last part was a bit morbid.
But anyway! Sea Kayaking in Antarctica is one of the top in-demand additional activities you can sign up for! But it’s hard to get a spot, not always likely it will happen, and there’s a bit of confusion the companies don’t explain well, so here I am to do it for you!
Interested in going to Antarctica? We host group trips there with incredible groups of like-minded tr ..read more

I’ve just returned from my third expedition to the 7th continent, and this time it was an 11 day Antarctica Peninsula itinerary. Most of the itineraries for this trip are fairly similar, but always remember; EVERYTHING is weather dependent!
This was my 3rd expedition to Antarctica hosting my IG followers AKA “MyLifesATravelTRIBE”
The 11 Day Antarctica Peninsula is the cheapest option for going, and literally takes you to “just the tip” of the actual continent. But don’t be deterred that you’re not making a trek to the actual South Pole. Because the area around the Antarctica peninsula is absol ..read more
