WALKERS are invited to stride out across the Malvern Hills for a hospice’s 39th annual fundraising challenge.
The St Richard’s Hospice Malvern Hills Walk takes place on Saturday, May 13 – with two, five and 11-mile routes available.
The walk is a popular fixture in the hospice’s calendar with walkers enjoying fantastic views as they trek along the stunning hills.

We’re thrilled to be hosting a marquee at this year’s RHS – Royal Horticultural Society Malvern Spring Festival!
Our marquee will stock a host of re-loved and handmade goods – including upcycled gardening tools.
We would love to receive your old, unused gardening equipment – such as spades, watering cans and trowels – to restore and upcycle.
Your items will be given a new lease of life and used to raise funds for our care to patients and their loved ones.

Today we’re saying a huge thank you to 12-year-old James Deaves who channelled his inner master chef to raise money for our care in memory of his mum, Helen.
James, from Redditch, baked a huge batch of his mum’s favourite cake – lemon drizzle – and sold them to family and friends. To make the cakes James used 90 eggs, 6 kilos of caster sugar, 6 kilos of flour, 22 blocks of butter and 30 lemons! James took on his big bake on one day in March, starting at 6am and then delivering the fresh cakes to customers with his dad, Antony Deaves.

A waddle of wonderfully designed penguins will slide into Worcester next summer to form the city’s third, spectacular, public art trail – raising funds for St Richard’s Hospice.
Penguin sculptures will line streets and open spaces for eight weeks in 2024, creating the great Waddle of Worcester – a Wild in Art event brought to the city by St Richard’s.
Today’s launch reveals the follow-up to Worcester Stands Tall and Worcester’s Big Parade, which saw giraffe and elephant sculptures displayed in 2018 and 2021 raising more than £700,000 combined.

Brides to be are flocking to a pop-up boutique in Worcester to find their dream dresses.
St Richard’s Hospice launched ‘Snowdrops Bridal’ at 34 Chapel Walk, Crowngate Shopping Centre, Worcester, in mid-February and have welcomed hundreds of shoppers.
The boutique which is open Wednesday to Saturday until the end of March, offers new and preloved wedding finery with all funds raised supporting the charity’s care for patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.

St Richard’s Hospice is set to launch ‘Snowdrops Bridal’ at 34 Chapel Walk, Crowngate Shopping Centre, Worcester, at 10am on Saturday 18 February.

Worcestershire’s St Richard’s Hospice has warmly welcomed Mike Wilkerson as the charity’s new Chief Executive, following the retirement of his predecessor June Patel.
Mr Wilkerson joins St Richard’s from Saint Catherine’s Hospice in North Yorkshire where he has been Chief Executive for the last eight years. He has extensive experience of working in palliative and end of life care, with previous roles at Rotherham Hospice and St Wilfrid’s Hospice in West Sussex.

“As I walked in through the main entrance I had a mild sense of trepidation, rather akin to my first day at school, or starting a new job.
“There was no need at all for me to be apprehensive, as I was made to feel very welcome and special by the nursing staff and volunteers on the Living Well course.”

LANTERNS will light up the night sky during a hospice’s fundraising walk at the National Trust’s Croome near Worcester.
St Richard’s Hospice will host its fifth 1.5-mile Lantern Walk at 4.30pm on Saturday, February 11.

A county estate agent has raised more than £10,000 to support the care provided to hospice patients and their loved ones across Worcestershire.
The Nicol & Co Community fund donates £100 to a community cause with every property it sells, allowing sellers to choose a school, local project or charity close to their hearts.
More than one hundred sellers have chosen St Richard’s Hospice since March 2021 bringing the funds raised for the Worcester-based charity to an incredible £10,600.
