COUNTY organisations are being challenged to take £40 and grow it into as much as possible for a hospice charity. Teams from businesses, community groups, schools and more can sign-up for the Grow Your Dough challenge organised by St Richard’s Hospice, based in Worcester. The campaign will see teams use their creativity, skills and networks to grow £40 into a much bigger donation, helping the hospice fund its services for patients, loved ones and bereaved people. Stunning snowdrops will create a memorable celebration garden in the county next month. St Richard’s Hospice will plant hundreds of handcrafted snowdrops on the lawns around The Hive, Worcester, this August. The unique display, featuring the hospice’s floral emblem, comes in the charity’s fortieth year caring for patients and loved ones across Worcestershire. “As soon as they come through the door he starts to smile,” says Carole Robins, whose husband, Larry Robins, is supported by our Hospice at Home Team. “He loves it and I just know that he is in safe hands so I can relax for three hours.” Larry, a retired postman, has Parkinson’s and has been supported by St Richard’s Hospice since 2017 through our Living Well Services.
