I've written this blog post on Sunday. I've found writing very cathartic in the past when my father died, being able to look back in time and reflect. We never saw this coming. We've been extremely busy with phone calls and trips back and forth to Gloucester, but in-between there has been a lot of silence, tears, talking, staring into space and we seem to be tag teaming, one of us is functioning ..read more

There was something inside me that just knew I had to clear space for to be able to deal with what was lying ahead.I'd been really ..read more

We plan to keep camping in the van over winter.Although we had a rather chilly night in the middle of September, but that was more to do with the fact we weren't proper;y prepared for it.We've decided we won't be using the awning any more this year, as we'll only be camping for a night at a time and we'll just pop the roof for sleeping in.Setting up the awning only took 20 mins this time ..read more

I really haven't been at all well this week with severe stomach pains and a migraine. I've carried on as usual and been to work, why? who knows. I don't earn any brownie points for it, but I'm not sure what staying at home would achieve either. The medication has helped and I'm not ill 24/7, in fact I feel worse when I'm at rest, keeping myself occupied does help.274 Monday My tutoring ..read more

We haven't done much to the garden in September, it's just been left to do its own thing. Some watering has been needed and a bit of weeding, but otherwise, all has been good. There seems to be a lot of tidying up to do. Odd projects to finish off and it won't be long before I have to think about getting the garden ready for winter, with wrapping up some of the more delicate plants in fleeces ..read more

I was nominated as Colleague of the week by the Head Teacher in my new role as Alternative Provision and Academic Tutor for my Proactiveness. It's a completely new role and whilst I have a line manager and I'm working with Attendance, I am just getting on with things. There is no clear defined route to be followed, I'm making it up as I go along and so far, it's going VERY well.267 Monday ..read more
