I recently photographed Mastro’s Ocean Club’s very latest restaurant location here in the North East. The restaurant is situated in the ever changing Seaport District, that is rapidly becoming Boston’s go to entertainment and business area. I had the opportunity to travel to the autonomous Portuguese islands of the Açores, and stayed for a week on the Terceira island in the middle of the Atlantic. Being Portuguese on my mother’s side I had always had an interest in exploring these islands, having heard only great things from people back in Portugal that had visited them before. Images taken at ground level are great and can go a long way to showcasing a new construction project or real estate development. Sometimes, though, having a bird’s eye view can help put things into perspective, especially in the context of a crowded city scene or one where the local area itself attributes a great deal of value and benefits associated to the location of the property. I have had the pleasure of working with Converse since last August to photograph their new HQ, as they have made the move from their North Andover base, into the heart of Boston, to Lovejoy Wharf.
