Hey Reddit my brother just got this Laser Machine, the model is Jamieson CMA 6040. Does anyone have any experience with them? We are new to this so still trying to figure out the basics. What software should we use for the design, any tips with this type of machine, and help with mirror alignment. Any suggestion related to the post are welcome. Thank you in advance

i posted in here yesterday, asking about cutting 0.38 mm polycarbonate and a lot of people suggested using a CNC router machine. I don’t have a lot of money right now as I’m just starting off and trying to get my foot in the door. Do you guys think this is a good cnc router to use? or should I wait and invest in something better? or should I invest in a CO2 laser cutter (with a extractor fan)?

I like putting them on their side because it makes it easier to find the color I need and I can sift through them like vinyl records.
I feel like I need dividers of some sort between them to redistribute the weight. I have limited space so a huge shelving unit dedicated to hold these may not work ..read more

Hi folks! Sorry if this is a dumb question-- I'd like to compile customers' family recipes into a beautiful recipe book bound by a wooden 3-ring binder cover.
There are wooden covers I like on 3rd party wholesalers but I'd like to be able to customize each unit for each customer (ie they would choose one of three images and customize one line of text, I would send this request to my laser-cutter on demand who could produce the individual unit and ship to me, then I would assemble the recipe book and ship to the customer).
Does anyone know of any reputable companies who offer this type of on-d ..read more
