Elaina and Zach’s incredible 30A wedding was at Alys Beach, which could quite possibly be one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen… and this stunning duo made for an absolutely remarkable day. Throw in a bridal party with more energy than you can imagine, and we’ve got ourselves a killer party. This is definitely one of those weddings that make us fall in love with our jobs all over again. Thanks for taking a look and we hope you love this little peek into their day ..read more

Sarah and Clark are OG. We’ve been friends with them since the two of us were married, and that’s a long freaking time ago. When they asked us to shoot their destination wedding in Playa Mujeres, Mexico… we may or may not have peed our pants a lil’ bit. These two fantastic humans are perfect together and we’re so thankful that they decided to make it official. The party was insane for us because it was filled with our old friends and forced a reunion that we’ll never forget. Hope you love this little look into one of the most amazing days ..read more

It’s FSU Graduation season again and the Wescott Fountain is absolutely covered in grads celebrating, so I figured it might be a nice time to showcase a little bit of our Florida State University grad work, don’t you? This time of year we spend many days wandering campus and getting some of our most chill and fun portraiture. This grad session was for J’Tierra who was an absolute supermodel and a breeze to photograph. Enjoy! FSU Grad Photography by Black & Hue Photography in Tallahassee, Florida ..read more

Erika and Michael’s Wedding was perfection. We’ve actually known Erika for a very long time from when she lived back in Tallahassee, and it was such a thrill to head to Atlanta for her wedding. Not only is she a bombshell, but she’s got absolutely killer taste… and we knew the wedding would be her playground. Enjoy these killer details from some very lucky wedding photographers ..read more

There’s no greater honor in the photography profession than being hired by another photographer whose work you greatly admire. Stacy is an incredible portrait photographer who asked us if we’d be willing to make the drive from Tallahassee to Big Talbot Island for a family shoot with she, her husband and their gorgeous little boy. Shooting on the Atlantic will leave you a bit sleep-deprived since sunrise is typically our favorite light, but we bit the bullet and all woke up before dawn to grab these photos. I decided to get a little risky at the end and splashed some saltwater on my lens for so ..read more

You just can’t beat that NYC energy. When Erin & Jason wrote us to photograph their New York elopement, we couldn’t have been more thrilled. It was quite a different day than we’re used to with weddings… we began at their amazing Brooklyn apartment, then headed to downtown Manhattan where we waited for hours for them to call our number at City Hall. During the wait we were able to use the textures of the old building for a few portraits where you weren’t able to tell that there were a few hundred other brides waiting to get married as well. The city was even busier than normal that day, so ..read more

They say that we’re all created equal, right? Chelsey & Stefan have us questioning the truth of that statement. These two couldn’t be more perfect. They’re beautiful, kind, loving… and SO much fun to be around. We had the honor of photographing their beautiful free-spirited wedding in Tallahassee, Florida at the Gathering near College Town. Since Stefan is from South Africa, they incorporated some awesome traditions from his home country that kept us on our toes. We decided to explore with the bridal party and take a few photos around Railroad Square, which is one of our favorite quirky sp ..read more

Engagement: Jordan + DJ // Washington DC Engagement Photographer

As wedding photographers, we constantly get asked what our favorite place to shoot would be. And our answer? Somewhere new. We’re obsessed with Washington DC and all that its museums have to offer, so when Jordan & DJ suggested a few places downtown in DC, we couldn’t have been more excited. Unfortunately the night before this session, Kel had discovered an amazing juice business in the downstairs portion of our hotel… and in her juice excitement she tripped up the stairs and gashed her knee open… so I shot this engagement session solo. I’d much rather have my smokeshow of a wife beside me ..read more

Susan and Max are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet.  They had us come down to St. Pete, Florida for their wedding at the Museum of Fine Arts… which instantly became one of our favorite venues. Kel and I wandered around the museum while waiting on the wedding party to arrive, and we stumbled across an amazing exhibit with projectors.  We floated the idea to Susan to get a few weirder portraits by using the projectors, and we’re so happy she was down to give it a shot!  Their wedding left us feeling so inspired and thankful, not just for our jobs but for the incredib ..read more
