So at the early part of this year I started getting questionable symptoms like heart palpitations, cramping, and morning sickness, usually right on par with my period. My last period was so bad but I originally thought it was a GI issue. I've been to the ER twice, a cardiologist, and multiple GIs. I've had a chest xray, ct scan, event monitor, endo/colonoscopy, and multiple rounds of bloodwork and urine tests, for them all to say I'm perfectly fine. My GI said maybe it's endo and I was already starting to suspect it myself. I went to an endo specialist where she basically said I'm so young an ..read more

I was on the combined pill since 2013 until 2021. I'm 2020 I started having endometriosis symptoms and really struggling, I was NHS Gynecology in 2021 and they found nothing, I moved into the coil in 2022 after a laparoscopy where they couldn't find anything. I had some procedures done in gastro but they didn't find anything either. The coil gave me a bunch of UTIs/Yeast infections so they gave me combination pill again - pretty soon my threads disappeared and the pain/endometriosis symptoms came back. Coil got removed (pretty stressful but heyho). I had Zoladex injections and back up HRT and ..read more

Chronic migraines

Does anyone else deal with hormonal chronic migraines? I have been dealing with migraines for years but they are clearly linked to my cycle. It seems like it could be a symptom of my PCOS or Endo but the migraines are ruining my life as much as my cramps did. My migraines seem worse after birth control but the birth control is the only thing that has relieved my extremely painful cramps. I feel like I’m destined to always suffer from crippling pain. I have to choose between migraines or cramps and I’m feeling so hopeless. Has anyone else had a similar issue? How did you cope? submitted by /u ..read more

My emotional state is deteriorating. I cant enjoy the things i used to enjoy because I’m in discomfort most days. I cant do this anymore. Why wont they take me serious? EDIT: TITLE IS SUPPOSED TO SAY: “professor knows my accommodations Professor gave me a zero on a pop quiz I missed even with my accommodations So my endometriosis has been flaring up pretty bad lately and one day I genuinely could not make it to class. I have accommodations through the school which includes an explanation to the professors that I might not be able to attend class due to a medical issue (it does not go into detail). I try to have as great attendance as possible but I really could not go this time so I sent her an email. She responded with telling me to feel better. Well lo and ..read more

How long did it take you to get laparoscopy?

More so just a general question about how many appointments or tests you needed to have done before your doctor finally decided a laparoscopy should be done? I’m tired of doctors just telling me to get blood work and come back and repeat, I need them to actually DO something. submitted by /u/MereDeathGrey [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Anyone get pregnant with Endometrioma Cysts?!

Just found out I have two Endometrioma cysts and a heart shaped uterus. My Dr. told me he can’t diagnose Endometriosis unless they do a laparoscopy. I’ve heard that if Endometriomas are present it can be a more severe stage of Endometriosis. My two cysts are in my right ovary and are small. Has anyone gotten pregnant with a heart shaped uterus? I’m 33, workout, eat healthy, but experience bad cramping during my cycle. We have been ttc for 8 months. Thanks. submitted by /u/faithoverfear0 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

To be concise , I’ve been dealing with symptoms of endometriosis since my first period at 11 years old, I am 19 now; I was referred for consultations to a private hospital in October 2022. I spoke to them and they said I needed a laparoscopy. In November of last year I was put on a waiting list on the NHS and told I should be having the surgery in 6 months. They phoned yesterday and said it was going to be another 6-12 months. I don’t know what to do. Is it worth chasing ? I am going to university this year, im worried not only will it affect my studies and social life but also that the uni w ..read more

Hi, I have fought 10 years for a laparoscopy. I live in the uk and finally had it yesterday with a gynaecologist. She said the surgery took 10 min and she didn’t see anything wrong. I have all the text book symptoms of endo and I’ve had many many ultrasounds, ct scans and mris. It hasn’t showed anything. I’ll vomit blood clots and have other indications of endo. However, nothing was found. Defo not adenomyosis either. I’m glad all my organs aren’t fused together however, it doesn’t give me an answer as to what is wrong. I’m in severe pain every month and not even morphine will touch the pain ..read more

Laparoscopy result: deep infiltrating, stage 5 endo

I'm 28 and I've long suspected I've had endometriosis because of the pain levels, but have never been taken seriously until they found a cyst on my ovary in February. Now I've just had the laparoscopy on Monday, and it was more than anything I expected. I told my friend who was waiting for me that it may take an hour or 2. It took well over 4 hours. I was supposed to go home that day but instead spent 2 nights in the hospital. They said the adhesions were everywhere and sticking everything together - uterus, bowels, walls of the abdomen. They could not even find my R ovary at first because it ..read more
