A new client made a comment in a recent onboarding call that made me think about client churn. The majority of my work comes from repeat clients. I tend to charge a lower rate to these companies (in comparison to new clients). But I know the the product and tov inside out so I can produce the copy very quickly. And I didn't even pass their trial article phase. I'm convinced this company exists to waste freelancers' time. The trial took about 5 hours of back and forth communication via email, a phone call, and then the trial period where you have to get on a Slack channel to pitch and write a roughly 1000 word article based on three topic ideas.
