I know, I know, I’ve been talking it up about how I’ll be back to updating my blog frequently, motivating myself into taking more photos, blah blah blah. Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last update so I thought I’d just do a quick check in. I’ve been busy with shoots and moving out of my studio space, so I’ve just not had the time to properly sit down and write something. In my previous post I spoke about doing a photo a day project this year, and I kept it up for a couple of weeks, however I felt I was just being counter-productive with it. Last week, Debay DeLux popped by the studio to try it out for a quick portrait session. We had a great time and got some good shots, but I couldn’t help but feel that recently I’ve not really been shooting for myself much this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been busy and really happy with what I’ve been shooting, but during the down time I’ve been focusing more on re-editing older shots or tidying up the website. It’s been a busy couple of weeks with a big studio move for me, so here’s a wee blog post from the archives. This one’s a photo shoot for Be Your Own God clothing from September 2016. John Paul and I really wanted to go with a high contrast pub look, but it was a little bit too bright even for that. We managed to get a few good shots though, and when it clouded over a little bit we went round to Kelvingrove Park for some wider/dramatic walking shots. Hi Everyone. Just a short post this week as I’m in the midst of a mountain of work in the studio, but I thought I’d crack out a hard drive from last year and pick one day to share. That day was June the 16th, 2016, when I was in Perth, Australia on my way home from my friends Sarah-Jane and Aaron’s wedding in Brisbane. A few weeks ago, I boarded a plane to Holland one more time to catch the final two shows that Undeclinable Ambuscade will ever play. Friday night was in Amsterdam, and the Saturday finished up the reunion year with a show in their home town of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Having been a huge fan of this band since I was a teenager, it was exciting and emotional all at once. I arrived to heavy rain in Amsterdam, and it pretty much didn’t stop until I got to the venue.
