A Day in the Life of a Family of 4: Toronto Family Photography

Cheryl reached out to me to capture their family photos for her older son, Kasper's 4th birthday. I couldn't help but think about what a special birthday present a mother can gift herself for her forever first baby's birthday. Since becoming a mother myself, I've experienced the true bittersweetness of motherhood. Children can fill our lives with so much joy and fulfillment, but they can also be quite a handful. This day-in-the-life documentary-style family session serves as a reminder for us moms and dads of the sweetness of parenthood in its rawest form—kids being kids. Even though they can ..read more

A Day in the Life with Two-Month-Old Josie: Toronto Newborn Photography

“I highly recommend Ally if you have a life event to document. Her relaxed and candid style is exactly what I was looking for when searching for a newborn photographer. Ally is approachable, warm, and makes everyone feel at ease, even animal family members! She is also professional and punctual. It’s the little things - like calling versus knocking on our door to ensure that she didn’t wake up the baby - that make her an exceptional person to work with. Our pictures are beautiful and I will treasure them forever. I am looking forward to working with Ally again soon.” — Rebecca & Chris A q ..read more

It all began two years ago when Carmen and Raymond first reached out to me, eagerly planning their wedding scheduled for 2022 in Hamilton. However, life had other plans, and unforeseen circumstances led to the unfortunate decision to postpone their big day until everything cleared up. Months passed, and then came an unexpected email from Carmen with a new wedding date set for 2023. As fate would have it, their chosen wedding weekend coincided with a planned family cottage trip of mine. With quick adjustments, we rescheduled our trip, ensuring I could be there to capture Carmen and Raymond's s ..read more

Jess and Sarah's intimate wedding at Sassafraz Yorkville was a beautifully tender and effortlessly laid-back affair. They cherished the idea of capturing lovely wedding photos as a keepsake of the day's emotions while also reveling in an intimate evening with their nearest and dearest. We made wedding portraits in the Yorkville area, conveniently located near the restaurant wedding venue Sassafraz and ensured to capture some classic family portraits. The rest of the evening was dedicated to Jess, Sarah, their families, and close friends who came together for a private dinner celebration. Wha ..read more

Rachel and Morgan met at Camp NeeKauNis when they were teenagers. The campground is located on the shore of Sturgeon Bay, Ontario, about a ninety-minute to two-hour drive north of Toronto. When one gets creative, any place can become a great wedding venue. This is especially true when the location holds special sentimental value for the marrying couple. Rachel and Morgan met and fell in love at Camp NeekauNis and decided that there was no better place to get married than at this campground. Even though the campground had never hosted a wedding celebration before, the couple made it work. Morg ..read more

Tahira and Daniel’s wedding at The Manor in Kettleby was a classic and dreamlike one. The two were so graceful yet laid back. Their love for each other as well as for everyone surrounded them was evident. They were soft-spoken to each other yet the giggles and laughter were non-stop when they conversed. Tahira looked stunning in her off the shoulder wedding dress. Daniel was neat in his three-piece suit. This mid-June wedding at The Manor was warm and joyful just like the bride and groom.   Tahira and Daniel’s pick of The Manor, an all-in-one wedding venue located in King City Ontario wa ..read more

Erika and David’s intimate wedding at Berkeley Fieldhouse Toronto was a beautiful and memorable day to be documented. The day was simple with a lot of honest emotions. Erika and David took things slow, created the intimate space for themselves to look each other into the eyes on an otherwise busy day and fully enjoyed all the small yet important moments.   I was flattened when Erika and David emailed me after receiving their wedding gallery and said not only were they blown away by all the big and small moments and emotions captured in their wedding photos but they saw themselves ..read more

Backyard Home Wedding - Adelin + Tom

A backyard wedding at home was one of my favourite kinds of wedding. It just felt extra special to get married in one’s own backyard. Having a wedding at home was both intimate and sentimental.   Plus, having a wedding in one’s own backyard would guarantee that your wedding date was available, there was no venue deposit needed and there was no venue limitation (think having your dog at the wedding, more catering choices, etc.). Venues were also not cheap. You can splurge on other categories in your wedding budget or your honeymoon with the savings. Getting married in one’s own bac ..read more

Casa Loma Wedding - Jessica + Daniel

Casa Loma was one of the highly sought-after wedding venues in Toronto. Its majestic castle, breathtaking interiors and five acres of gorgeous garden were just some of the reasons which made it Toronto’s most unique and sophisticated wedding venue. I enjoyed photographing weddings inside Casa Loma Library and Conservatory as well as at its outdoor garden and glass pavilion. They each had their unique vibe. This particular wedding of Jessica and Daniel’s was an outdoor wedding. The couple had their Jewish wedding ceremony in the Casa Loma Garden and its wedding reception at the Glass Pa ..read more
